I plan on getting some off of my friend eBay  The fenix props were the ones I will most likely get, at the moment moneys tight for me as ive just passed my bike test so im looking at getting a bike, real life first im affraid:facepalm. But i'll get them soon enough.
Also found out that Im goin to have to add the red LED on the left gauntlet otherwise they will hinder clearance, does anyone know what type of LED to use? Would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Lewis

Just off the top of my head I would recommend Maplins. Maybe something like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45937
I used similar Blue LED's for my MC, were spot on.

Oh and PS: what bike you after?

I already have some of those LED, albeit white ones. But I thought the LED looked a little different from the normal ones, guess I'll just get one of them :p
Well I say ive past my test, ive past my cbt so at the moment im limited to a 125cc, so I plan on getting myself a Yamaha YZF R125, went out the other day to enquire about it and hopefully should have one by next month(y)

They look just like the new R6's and they have the same chassis so its pretty big for a 125, dont know if I'll get that particular one as he was asking silly money, but if I can talk him down a bit:lol: Do you have bikes then Red?
Lewis

Yeah the Yamaha R series are nice bikes. I previously owned a Cajiva Mito 125 (was rubbish) and then a Honda CBR600rr which was a beaut but had to sell due to cashflow problems :(
Was actually looking into getting a Yamaha R6 at some point. Really nice bikes. The 125 version sounds good for a 125 too.

Sorry to derail your thread :p

Darts - I have a set of russrep's, pretty nice.

Bike - Hopin to have either a YZF R6 Raven or GSXR 6R blackout by Christmas. :)

Well sort of. The gauntlets were pretty poor, but I felt I was able to get them to a standard that I would be happy with and think I have. The gauntlets will probably be the only item that will need this much work, most of the work now will be painting and weathering as Im mainly buying the other items off of BM. Thanks for the compliment though mate.

OOOO I love Gsxr's, but in my opinion the the new R6 in white are easily the best looking bike around. Ive literally just come back from buying a bike:lol: Ive gone completey the other way and have got a Honda XR, allows me to get a grip of the gears and I can have a blast around on the lovely Welsh mountains:). Im picking it up tommorow so i'll get a pic up of it, saves the thread from dying while I wait for my stuff to arrive, and this should do me for a couple of months now until a better YZF R125 comes up.
Thanks Guys,
Lewis

Well guys I have something to update, havant really been doing much on my fett for a few days, playing the waiting game on some items. Firstly my spats and pouches that I ordered are way over due, Im hoping customs has them rather than the bloke ripping me off  But I have just ordered myself a SE belt which should be here next week, fingers crossed.
So as usual with this hobby, ive been spending more money yet again. Basically I went out and bought every pot of paint that I need to paint my fett, excluding the helmet.

So having nothing to do, so I thought i'd give a bit of armour ago. This is my first real go at painting a piece, due to the amout of colours involved. So firstly the piece is sprayed with silver paint, then sections are masked out using masking fluid.

SNC00763.jpg

SNC00764.jpg

Once set, I then sprayed the piece with a yellow/baige colour. Im finding it hard to get even coats so I had to apply two layers :x Once the yellow had dried, I simply peeled the masking fluid off to show the silver underneath.

SNC00765.jpg

I then masked off the sliver again, followed by sections of yellow . The piece was then coated in the first shade of green.

SNC00770.jpg

Once dry, same as the yellow, I peel off the fluid to reveal the yellow and silver damage.

SNC00774.jpg

So basically that were im at at the moment. The colour looks a little light but it still needs another shade of green along with weathering at a clear coat. Im again having problems getting even coats, so this green is goin to have to have anothe layer. Ive also had some problem areas, a few little bubbles along with a bit of cracking paint. So im goin to sort that out tommorw with some wire wool and give it the second layer. Ive then got to add some darker green along with the weathering. So what do you think of my first layering paint job :D

Okay so I wasnt happy with the way the butt armour came out, So its now been all stripped off and im probably goin to wait until I get all of the armour before I attempt to paint it again
So finally, my spats and pouches came after a month of waiting. And to be fair their really really good, colour and quality wise.
So firstly the pouches, Nice and clean, really happy with them and all I need is the belt to attatch them to which should be here next week.

SNC00777.jpg

So i decided to weather them up, same method as the boots. I simply put some pastel on areas and rubbed with a wet cloth. I decided to go with some heavey weathering as I know the trouble people have with weathering not showing up in photos. But im happy with it and think it will suit the other grimey parts of the suit. I then also added some foam to give them the solid shape that they have. But these are also the perfect place for a rom fx and speaker as there functional pouches :D

SNC00788.jpg

Next up was the spats, nice and simple with a velcro closure.

SNC00776.jpg

Then same as the the pouches, a little pastel spread around to create weathering. The photos take most of the weathering out so they look better in person.

SNC00782.jpg

SNC00786.jpg

Ive also put a little velcro on the inside to stop the spat from moving around. So now yet again ive got to wait for my belt to arrive, which will hopefully be next week. So what to you guys think of my spats and pouches :D

Hey guys, havant posted an update for a while. Did you miss me :D
The reasson I havant been posting much is that I came off my bike a while ago, pretty lucky to be honest. No broken bones but some nice road rash along with a lovely sprained ankle from the bike falling on me :confused Luckily for me the bike is also in one piece with the only damage being my gear leaver coming off and it taking the paint off one of the fairings, so a quick paint will sort it out lovely lol
So ive decided to pack in my boba, with the crash and all the money envolv...... only joking :D
Lying in bed it was pretty much all I could think of, so today I got off my bruised backside and decided to give the cod peice another go. Basically this is all done with rattle cans which, with some pastles added here and there, my ****** camera takes all the subtle damages out, you can sort of see the streaks of black that imho look good, so excuse the quality of the pictures :) but I still want to airbrush some black over the top. This now also need a matt clear coat to dull the shine down. Ive now only taken picks after the green as put down, so here is essentially the finished item. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the compliment Dutch
Well Ive been doing some more little touch ups to the groin armour. I went over the piece with some wire wool, then very lightly airbrushed a matt black in certain areas of the cod, while then using some black pastel to create some defineing lines and scrapes. I then finished it off with a matt clear coat.

This one is taken directly outside, here you can see the different tones aswell as how different light affects the colour.

SNC00852.jpg

Im really happy with how it has turned out, I wanted to get a dark and grimey boba and I think this would suit it. Any critiscism and comments would be really welcome, as I intend to paint the rest of the armour this way :D
Thanks,
Welsh

hey guys,
after looking through some posts and pictures on here, I decided that the green was to dark, and knowing it was a little off really really bugged me :facepalm So using Terminalfettlers paint list, I decided to repaint it. The silver and yellow I thought looked good, so I masked that all off and repainted it with humbrol 117. I then mixed a little black with it and began adding tone and weathering. I think the end result is much better than my previous

So what do you guys think, Im much more satisfied with this colour over my first attempt. My camera dosent really show to much detail but it looks better in person.

This is my first time checking out this thread and WOW!!! This is some of the BEST weathering I have seen, especially on the calc pad and boots! I absolutely love it!
