It's going slow because I'm filling and sanding each "layer" so I've got room. When I put the tanks on I figure it'll be a pain in the but to fill/sand any imperfections around the center. I'm going with WOF's plan for the rocket........using a dowel, mounting the discs at the appropriate height and then wrapping the cones, etc around them.

Ahh I got ya. Take some pics while you are doing the dowel and making the top of the rocket so that I can see how you are doin it. Looking great so far though. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you get the rockets on.

Wow! You are are the Scratch-Master!! :)

What a title eh...?

Well honestly with all the fumes and plastic shards that's not too far from the truth. ;)
I cheated on the little piano key niblet thingys. Not enough of em. Close enough for government work I guess. Done for today........pick it up again tomorrow maybe.

what did u use for the keys?

-=QuinN!

Just used layered sintra and cut them with the Dremmel. They may come off so smaller more accurate ones can be added. I'm on the fence about it though.

Finished sanding down the tank covers and made the bottoms of the fuel tanks.

.............really feeling the itch to finish this so I can paint it.

Actually I just put in the digital scale and it's weighing in at 3.83 pounds right now. That is without the rocket and thruster balls (and paint........did I mention that I can't wait to paint it?), so I'm pretty happy with the weight as of now. If it starts to get heavy I'll go in from the backside and cut out the plastic that isn't seen.
