Scratch build JP start

Hey!

Here's the first pic from our (Myself and KahunaFett )scratch build jet pack made from Wizard's blueprints. The taller missile is made of cardboard, while the smaller is bond paper. The smaller should be the correct scale (86% of WoF's drawing) for a 15" wide JP. This puts the missile base disc at a diameter of 3.5 inches.
We're now attempting to cut parts from sheet styrene... more to come.

Cardboard????? How? I thought for sure it was vacc'ed plastic. That is great.

That looks awesome! What a great start!

I think what throws you is that when most of us think about cardboard we think CORRUGATED cardboard (box-type), this appears to be the thinner-based, like what they use for garment gift boxes, etc...
