The seller is "costumebase" (99.8% feedback) and they have a lot of these jumpsuits, and it looks to me like they sell a lot of them and often on eBay. Has anybody bought one of these from them, and are they a good seller?
    Is the price reasonable?

I ask all this, because I am really, really wary of buying Fett stuff off of eBay.

i have heard positives and negatives from them. weirdly I have never seen any of their stuff go for min bid amount. I always seem out bid by people with lots of money and little to no feedback. Just bad luck I guess

They do have auctions for the jumpsuits with no option to "Buy it now!", then they also have other listings where there is no bidding, just "buy it now for this price" I think.

Is it me or are the shin tool pockets too high? Other members have also told me that the waist pleats are not screen accurate.

I think the price is reasonable.

Now that you mention it, I don't even think there ARE shin tool pockets! Those just look like a patch sewn over the knee, just for looks.

Upon second inspection, the layered sleeves look to come down too low as well.

You're right about the sleeve. They almost look as if they would come down to the gauntlets.

I think those are pockets but they are placed on the knees???? Look hard there's a bit of an opening at the top.

Yeah, you seem to be right about both. And this is the best looking jumpsuit on eBay, but I think it might be more worthwhile (and safer) to save up for a while and get one of Loanstar's.

I had bought one of these suits and I have both positive and negatives to say about them.
The shin tool pockets are actually functional but they are WAY too high up on the leg.
The short seam of the sleeves come down a bit too far.
The material they use is pretty good and breathes pretty well.
I ordered the smallest size I could find (med) and it was about 5 sizes too big for me. I'm 5'10" @ 150 lbs and I was swimming in this suit it was so big.

Overall, the stitching is pretty good and durable but the accuracy of the suit is far from being perfect. It might be a good place to start if you have some sewing experience, then go back and modify as you see fit, but if you are like me and you need a custom suit made, you'd be better off finding someone to make you one from scratch.

    I give it a 6 out of 10.

I bought one recently as well (large). I'm 5' 10" with 32" waist, sleeves were way too long.
I took the shin tool pockets off and repositioned along with shortening the sleeves to reposition the pleats. Other than that, it's not bad for the price I paid ($60).

    FYI,

Costumebase is a 'store' located in my neck of the woods, on the other side of the planet. They sell alot of costumes and started out in the cosplay community before including movie costumes.

IMHO, their costumes are hits and misses, depending on your luck and i know most of their wares, need extra work done to make it better and not very accurate.

If you're on a budget, they'll do okay for ya...but remember this, for most, you get what you pay for...at other times, barely.

Wow, Cary. That's about 30 minutes from me.

As far as the jumpsuit goes, it could be an okay base. You would need to modify it, but in the end I do feel it's going to be better to spend $130 and get a nice jumpsuit. I would check with ladysewforus.

Are you a high school or college student, or neither?

Re: Saw a jumpsuit on eBay...

On a whim I picked one of these up a few weeks ago in effort to 'upgrade' my old hand made jumpsuit. While it was clear from the pic I'd have to adjust the shin pockets I wasn't aware I'd have to adjust just about everything else. I got a med (smallest size they had) and I'm about 5-11 and 160.

So .... if you have some sewing skills you're going to have to do what I did which was:
    - take off the sleeves and shorten at top and sew back on.
    - narrow the entire sleeve, upper and lower (it's way too wide).
    - narrow both legs (way too wide).
    - oddly the torso isn't too bad
    - the inseam for me was too short and the torso too long, so I had to adjust the crotch area (no comments please )
    - shin pockets had to go down alot.
    - thigh pouches as well were way too high and had to move down.

Other than that it was ..... great ?

    Cheers.

I ordered one too on eBay I got an xl and could even zip it up! I am 5"10 220lb I guess I must be sumo size by their standards. I'm having them altered. If you plan to buy one NEVER use buy it now, give them a best offer. I have never heard of them declining one!
$84.50 was the buy it now and I offered $60 and they accepted quick..almost too quick...lol

I'd have to agree with pennywise on this, you get what you pay for.
Kinda like a tattoo adage " A good tattoo isn't cheap and a cheap tattoo isn't good". I think you get the picture.

I think about that everytime I get new ink, and it is easier to justify all that money I'm spending.

But about the jumpsuits, yeah forget eBay. I might go with Bobamaker or LadySewforus(she's the sewing master, right?) and at least then I will KNOW that the flightsuit will be accurate.
