    Rubbermaid Tub Lid for buttplate?

I've got an extra Rubbermaid lid from one of the big storage tubs. I was thinking of using it to make my buttplate. Thought the softer material might be a little more comfortable back there than sentra... Has anyone tried this? Can the plastic be formed well enough? Painted will it match the cod (will the paint color shift from the material being different)? What are your thoughts on this?

Some of my Stormtrooper buddies use rubbermaid trash bins to make small bits, such as leg spacers.

I think it should work just fine, I'm just not sure how well paint would hold to it. No way to find out other than trying it
