Rubber Rifles?

Is anyone currently producing rubber Fett rifles? There would seem to be a huge market for these, now that Hyperfirm isn't producing anymore.

So, rubber casters, who is up to the task?

The Hyperfirm guys said that they had ESB Fett blasters when I emailed them about 2 months ago... Was that just the last of their stock, or...?

I would love to do a ROTJ but, I need a base gun. I have the rest of the parts or I can have them made.

Asok, you'd think someone would offer one up to you. Would you be able to work a deal with them, say a free rubber version, if they let you borrow theirs to cast?

I think alot of people would like to get their hands on one.;) Currently the market value on these has gone through the roof!

See thats sounds like a good deal to me. I think making some rubber rifles is a great idea.

Seeing I was looking into this for an E11 here goes. If I would do one I would want to use all found parts. Not copies. So, we would need:

W&S
scope
machined barrel
fins
Bomb halfs - have that
V8 cover - have that
other plate - trying to have it made

Then about 6 gallons of stuff to make the mold at about $150 for 2 gallons
Wood to make the forums.

So, to make the mold could cost over $1,000 and not a single one has been made. Not sure on the resin yet. The stuff that I have been using is about $45 a gallon. So, is is not a cheap idea.

I would but mine's not accurate enough and it's esb. No stock details and no blocks. made from scratch ( a .357 and reworked with scratch parts to make the barrel). he would have to smooth out some rough ( bondo) on one side. But at least it wouldn't be a recast hunh

Id be interested no matter what was made, but would PREFER to get my hands on an ESB!!

Asok, would you be selling W&S kits with the ESB and ROTJ parts separately? Or would you end up making a mould for both the ESB and ROTJ rifle?

IF I was going to do a kit, it would be one for ESB and one ROTJ. The ROTJ looks to be the easy one. There are 2 problems right now. I would want to use a real W&S and I am broke.

find enough people to prepay for one and you've got the broke part taken care of, and it looks like Gilmore of OK has one he'd be willing to let you use for the project. X times Y = MOLD where X= number or people willing to prepay, Y = the price you are wanting to charge for the finished product and MOLD = the total price of making the mold and getting started.

i've got to imagine a lot of people would want these if this project comes together. almost everyone who has seen my hyperfirm has commented on wanting one ;)
