ROTJ vs. Special Edition

Yes been covered time and time again...basically...ROTJ SE has more pouches hip pouches are different, the ESB helmet was used...the ROTJ STUNT pack was used....some of the knee armor was used from pre production Wookie braids are ESB....all sorts of little things like only 1 gaunt hose on the right gaunt instead of 3 in ROTJ...but go ahead search a little

Here are the difference between the ROTJ Hero and the ROTJ SE (this was already posted in other threads):
1 - The helmet is the ESB Hero and not the ROTJ Hero.
2 - The whole armor is painted in the ROTJ scheme, but the only ROTJ Hero parts on this suit are the left gauntlet (not present in all the ROTJ SE stills), the back plate and the back belt, while the right gauntlet (not present in all the ROTJ SE stills - the gauntlet is slightly modified, more exactly they replaced the whipcord housing, the hose connector is different and they also added some paint touch-ups) and the left knee were part of the Pre-Pro #2 suit.
3 - The jetpack is ROTJ Hero (only in the ROTJ SE stills), although in the ROTJ SE (the movie) they used one of the damaged jetpacks.
4 - The wookie braids looks like Pre-Pro #3/ESB Hero, but the cape might be from one of the ESB Promo suits or possibly the Pre-Pro #2 (no evidence on this).
5 - There are 14 ammo pouches (versus 8 on ROTJ), which were part of one of the mismatched ESB Promo suits.
6 - The soft parts might be from any suit (except the Pre-Pro #2 vest which is present in the archives with most of the original armor parts).

Good write up. The right gauntlet is not the same from the PP2 suit though. The PP2 gauntlet is similar but lacks the side hose connections.

A lot of guys will just plop an ESB helmet onto an ROTJ costume and call themselves ROTJ:SE, when in actuality they don't put on the 4 extra belt pouches, the hose on the left gauntlet, etc....which would qualify them as that costume. ;)

There's 5 different Lucasfilm ROTJ jetpacks that we know about on TDH, so basically just pick whichever weathering scheme you like and follow that one. They were all over the place with the paintjobs on them, too. Some have a dark blue and a bright yellow, others have a bright blue and a dark yellow, etc. :jetpack

....and don't forget the ANH:SE Boba Fett, which is the straight up Magic of Myth ROTJ suit, except with the shoulder bells on reversed sides.

It's the same gauntlet, but they replaced the whipcord housing to a ROTJ style with tubes underneath and they also did some paint touch-ups, while the hose connector casing is different (maybe from another gauntlet).

There are 6 extra ammo pouches (14 in total) on the ROTJ SE stills, and I think the same goes for the movie scenes too:

This ammo belt with pouches was part of one of the ESB Promo suits:

14? Cool. I thought I had remembered 12. Either way, the majority of those guys that call themselves SE Bobas need to add more pouches. lol

I know this has been covered, but the fact of the matter is that sometimes it helps to re-bring it up so some of us get a chance to see it and understand there are more differences than originally thought when we took on the build.... Thanks guys!
