I have painted my plates but not entirely happy with the colour:

Maybe I just need more and a couple of layers of clear coat? Could someone please make a suggestion as to a UK rattle can that would do the job better...? Thanks for your help!
(The shoulders will be repainted also as not happy with them.)

looks good to me, but I'm sure somebody else with a finer eye can tell you
The armor looks good, but as you said, the shoulder yellow must be changed, more like your knee's base color (saw your images on Flickr).
Thanks guys. That is the plan for the knees (once the weather gets warmer)
I think on the most recent photo I took, the flash has made the plates just seem a little pale:

I think the base green looks good, but it could use sore misting with some black to darken it up a bit.
My thoughts as well.

So, I kept looking at it and I didn't think it was right, so have repainted the plates including the shoulders.
Have a had a bit of a test fit to see progress and have been given some good pointers from guys over on the Mercs site re adding a thong. Will also be taking up the legs slightly and adding elastic to the knees. Belt placement not entirely right but will be tweaking when the mannequin arrives later in the week. Any comments and advice always welcome, I have changed this to a WIP thread:

Its so nice to see a dirty Fett, some people forget to dirty up the suit! Which is strange after all the hours they spend weathering the armour! Looking forward to seeing the next bunch of tweaks! Keep up the good work!!
