ROTJ Rattlecan armor colors

Hunter
Just wondering if anyone has accurate rattlecan equivalents for armor. I figured I just use AFFO$'s helmet templates. Anyone have ideas?? I picked up some colors from another guy's thread, but one of the greens looks pretty bad.

Thanks,
Kody

I saw that a lot of guys are having luck with rustoleum spruce green and hunt club green. I didn't find hunt club at wally world so I grabbed hunter green....I think that it looks like ****...

hunter green and hunt club green are totally different. i know you can find the hunt club green at home depot, probably at lowes as well. for my own armor i used majik new cat yellow, but i'm pretty sure that there is a rustoleum "equipment yellow" that would work well, you should be able to find that at home depot or ace hardware. i've used a couple different silvers, but with spraypaint silver it doesn't have a real high shine (which is good), just make sure what you're working on has all the prep done (i.e. a couple times over it with the sandpaper, i'd suggest starting with 400 then 800 then put the primer down then go over that with 1000. it should give you a real nice finish with the silver).

when it comes time to dirty it up, i'd suggest the krylon ultra flat black. to me it looks more like grime than paint, especially if you mist it on while the green is still wet. just don't go crazy with it, and don't go for even coverage with it either.

hope that helps you a little bit.

I've never seen a can of "Equipment Yellow" in all of my paint hunting. I ended up to use Krylon Sun Yellow as an alternative, I bought it at Wal-Mart. The silver was just any basic silver, and for Green I used Rustoleum Spruce Green, which I've seen recommended for ROTJ several times in the past.

I have

Rustoleum makes Farm Equipment yellow

But, Caution Yellow is pretty close (keep in mind that you have to hold the Caution yellow upside down, cause it's marking paint)

the line striping yellow is GREAT. that's what i use. in the boston area we don't have much farm equipment to warrant paint being stocked.

anyway... this question comes up a LOT. read old RotJ threads and you'll see a ton of different takes on the same. slave1pilot, spideyfett, afettfullofdollars, me, and more have all done a bunch of rotj stuff.

the truth is out there... you just gotta search a bit ;)

I am starting a ROTJ Boba Fett and have been studying pictures to determine the colors and any help or suggestions are great for color options. But it all comes down to what you think looks right though.
