ROTJ Jetpack Paint for Corrose by slave1pilot

Here's another ROTJ jetpack that I am painting on commission.
This one is more towards the SE, so damage and weathering will be heavier than a normal ROTJ.
It will not have the huge gouge in the body.

I have the red and white down already.

Hi, I am going through this exact process at the moment and going SE - have got the silver layer on only, so will be following this closely - do you have a run down on colour, specifically that red - Having trouble locating it. Many thanks

Since this is a source of income for me, I'm not willing to list all of the colors that I use. My apologies for "keeping secrets", I hope you understand.
With that being said,I will say that the the red in these pics is Floquil Boxcar Red.
I myself, am having a hard time finding a red that is to my liking. I use the Boxcar for now because it's not too bad, but I'm still searching for something better.

My red on my old pack ended up being a custom mix because there was nothing off the shelf that looked right. And I still ended up misting over that to get it where I wanted. I couldn't tell the colors to get it right if I wanted to!

nice work! I'm not a huge fan of the ROTJ backpack myself... it just seems a but... um... colourful. But I admire the craftsmanship of those who duplicate it, including the weathering/flaking.

Is that a jango open seasons pack hehe looks good bud...as usual

Back from Death Valley and did a little painting today;



The thrusters are just hanging there, they aren't attached.

I sprayed the Blue today...

I was just looking over this thread and admiring the work when I noticed Corrose's location. There is a chance I might get to see this work in person if this is a pack that will be worn trooping. I would love to see some of this work close up.

Hey man, I was founder of, and CO for Star Garrison for close to 10 years, hung up my helmet some years back when things here got way too political and over the top for my tastes.
I no longer troop but kept my costumes and keep them on display. I do however go to All-Con as well as all of the Ben Stevens Shows. Once I get the pack I'm happy to bring it to a con to show you. Just shoot me a PM when the next thing comes up in DFW that you are attending.

Cool, I am just finishing up Jango right now. I have trooped with the Mandalorian Mercs but I have not trooped with the 501st yet.

Will probably see you at a future con. btw I live just north of Mckinney in Van Alstyne so I am only about 30 minutes up the road. I spent about 10 years driving to Plano daily to work at Collin Creek Mall back in it heyday. Of course that was about 15 years ago. I do not miss the drive.

Bobamaker, Man of War, Bobby Fett UK all make nice Jetpacks.


Finally laid the "yellow" down.

I need the paint to cure before removing the mask and adding the scratches.

Looks like its been drug through some stuff, looks great
