RotJ Hero Costume

KaanE

My question is... Do we know what costume is the RotJ Hero one?

I have been studying the screen caps and in about 75% of the scenes I see the MoM armor (except Cod/Butt). The AoSW armor (except Cod/Butt) can only be seen at one scene. Which one then?!?! POST YOUR OPINION PLEASE!

I also know that the AoSW jet pack is a stunt jet pack used when Boba jumps into the Luke's boat. The Hero jet pack should be the MoM one. That explains why it has another kind of beacon at the bottom of the jet pack, because it was a hole.

About the Ankle Spats I don't know which ones were used, both are equal, but I have seen that on the MoM costume one spat was lost and they (LFL) remplaced it with one of the PrePro #2 (the left one I think, I can't remember). That can be seen because they are diferent fabrics, also diferent colours (the PP2 is pinky).

The Hero Cod is the one from AoSW. It can be seen with the MoM armor at the Hutt "house" scene.

The Hero helmet... well, just one helmet, the MoM one :D I have done a list with the Humbrol colors. Some where posted here by micke and evan4218, but I have done my own research and I have found some diferent colors for mandibles, grey over all the helmet (yes, IMO it was the same grey on mandibles, just light applied).

The Hero blaster is with the MoM exhibit.

About the soft parts, there's no diference between both. Well, for purists, I'm sure there's diference, but I haven't studied the pics that much :)

When filming, the gloves still had a greyish ESB tone on them.

Post! :cheers

EDIT: I have posted the pic of the AoSW Pack! Thanks ART!

About the ESB Armor, that's what I think that the original parts are:

Left/Right Chest Plate, Knees (except the right one), Backplate/Collar & Cod/Butt : AoSW Costume

Ab. Piece : MoM Costume

Shoulders : MoM Costume, filled big dent.

Gauntlets : Any of them, ESB were 100% Vacumformed, the left one too.

Jet Pack : Maybe they did new ones, so I don't know.

Glightsuit and Gloves : I don't know, both costumes have blue dye on some parts of the flightsuit.

Cape : Are you kidding me? :D

Pouches : AoSW

Ammo Belt : Any of them.

Helmet : AoSW (NOT repainted of course)

I'm starting to think that the Hero RotJ armor is the one seen on MoM Exhibit, because all the pieces I see on the AoSW costume are from the scene where Luke cut the blaster to Boba.

C'mon, say something! Don't be shy! ART, I know you're a RotJ guy, you can't be quiet in front of a RotJ thread, c'mon!

This is all very interesting info. Keep it going. We could draw a diagram of which MoM and AoSW parts were used in which scenes.

i'm not really one for the super research, but i've based all of my armor / helmets on mom just because it looks "right". i've never studied frame by frame to see why, but it just feels more rotj to me.

The MoM costume also makes me think about pure RotJ, BTW your costume is really nice stormtrooperguy! What I have seen is that the pouches usen on the MoM costume, really were used for the AoSW costume as you can see at the pic I posted on the first post.

I'm still new here, so what does MoM and AoSW stand for?

Both are Exhibitions where diferent costumes were shown. The most noticiable things of both are:

MoM : RotJ Hero Helmet, RotJ Hero Blaster, Cod from a PP#2 Stunt.

AoSW : ESB Hero Helmet, RotJ Stunt Blaster (It's wonky), Cod from RotJ, PP#2 left knee. This costume was used for the "new" scenes added in the Special Edition RotJ movie.

A pic to compare is attached. For more info about both costume combinations you must take a look at the New Gallery, and to the Wiki.

AoSW Pic : Alex (SpideyFett) and Miller (DarthMiller) - MoM Pic : Me aka KaanE

As you can see at my pic, Fett doesn't have blaster. Some places display the blaster and others don't, but the costume is the same.

I have found something new, maybe you knew it, but I didn't. The broken knee of MoM, was not repaired, it has been replaced for one used at a "stunt" scene. I have the proof :D

As you can see in the pic, it has the same discoloration, the same dent and also the same line on the "cuted" side! And well, there is NOT a line in the middle of the side as all the knees have.

Don't look at the red lines, just the green ones. I took the pic from the FP V.3 Armor and I haven't deleted the red arrows, I'm sorry.

Though Kaane answered this more in depth, he didn't explain what the acronyms actually mean.

MoM= The Magic of Myth

AoSW= The Art of Star Wars

You can check out HUGE reference pictures of these two exhibits in TDH wiki.

There ya go! :D

son of a... i have a PP2 left knee. and here i thought i had a pure rotj. good thing i've got new rubber knees to paint up sometime soon.

So, in what scene are we going to consider that the Hero costume was? Then I could do a breakdown of what parts were used and post it here (y)

For me it's the one which wears at the Jabba's cave, also on the big boat (It's the same costume)

Post your opinion please (y)

I always thought it was the costume worn in Jabba's palace.

You also know this Seeker, but if you need help with the colors, let me know (y)

That's what I think, theother scenes were jumps, crashes, explosions and dead so they should have used Stunt costumes, IMO. :)
