Heya brothers,

today I wanted to start another thread for displaying the progress on salamanderking´s ROTJ gauntlets. One of my many paintjobs at the moment ... :D:D:D

Step 01: Assembly

gauntlets_built_01.jpggauntlets_built_02.jpggauntlets_built_03.jpggauntlets_built_04.jpggauntlets_built_05.jpggauntlets_built_06.jpggauntlets_built_07.jpg

All parts assembled and hinges/snaps inserted.

Now the fun begins! Next step will be putting on the primer coats.

Step 02: Silver

After primer was sprayed on I laid down the first layer in silver.
Nice and shiny. :)

More to follow soon ...
Stay tuned!

Best,
Manuel

I used hotglue to insert the hinges and to support the "resin-nails" that go through the snaps and hold the exterior parts.

The exterior parts (outer part on the right gauntlet and the flamethrower housing on the left one) are glued on with 2 component cement glue.

Before putting on the primer I will go and see if I can fill the seams between the gauntlets and the exterior parts. Although it fits snug there still is a small seam.

Anybody has a tip? Fill it or leave it as is?

Thanks!
