ROTJ Gauntlet Hinges

I was wondering if anyone and/or everyone could help me out a bit. I'm to the point of installing the piano hinge to my gauntlets but I'm not sure where exactly to attach the gauntlet halves along with the hinges. So could anyone show me as detailed a pic as you can showing how you've hinged your gauntlets together so that the hinge doesn't show. I've seen it done in passing but this is my first try at these gauntlets and any help I can get would make life alot easier on me...Pics, tutorials, referrals to other threads or web sites-whatever you can think of that will help me knock out these gauntlets so I can get back to my bucket. Thank you ALL very much!

I'm not certain where I picked up these stainless hinges-I have the "pack rat gene" as my ex would say. I'll post a pic (sorry, not my finest hour with a camera) and I was hoping that some of you could see if it would work as hinges for my gauntlets-and work perfectly and look right as well...Let me know what you think.

Hmm. . . those stainless hinges look a little heavy to me. As in gauge, not weight.
Maybe you could look for some smaller brass hinges.

Yeah, they're a bit heavier than I'd like, but the price was right! And I really didn't want to get out in the cold today, but it looks as if I'm off to Lowes for a piano hinge and some brass fittings if I can find something suitable. Thanks SuperJedi-helpful as usual...:D

Yeah, Home Depot had both the brass and nickel hinges, I also went with the nickel hinge. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to fasten the hinges to the gauntlets with epoxy, pop rivets, or both. I'll probably err on the side of caution and do both so I never have to worry about it falling apart. Also, I've seen a few photo's of peoples gauntlets and it looks like some have trimmed out about an eighth of an inch about the size of the hinge on either side of the gauntlets to fit the hinge. Will I need to do that as well? I can only assume that's so the hinge moves unobstructed...
