ROTJ armor (all the green is done!!!!)

Got the pieces misted black and added the chest decal. And yes, I know the diamond is missing. I can't find it after my wife cleaned the house...

I still need to do the black wash and seal the deal with a clear cote. Probably get that done tomorrow. Stay tuned:)

I'm kinda impatient, so I got the black wash done today as well. The prepeinted MLC pieces are now more the same color as my own paintjob, and with a dull clearcote I should be fine :) Check out the pics:

Not bad but the black wash looks too painted on, I would use either a larger brush or an airbrush to eliminate the brush strokes. I'd probably also take some fine grade sandpaper or 00 steel wool and carefully sand out some of the black spray and wash from some of the silver parts.

A minor nitpick, instead of masking out all of the yellow and silver I probably would have sanded some of it out instead to make some look more like it's been worn off gradually as opposed to chipped or scraped off. But that's just me and you clearly have more experience at this than I do since I've never painted anything larger than a (new) BSG blaster and weathering some like that is quite different than weathering armor. Good job overall.

I see what you, at least with the cod-piece. It's not as noticable in real life, the flash kinda brings it out a bit more. But I'll try the steelwool on just to remove the "strokes" the paper made when I added the wash.

When it comes to teh silver/yellow, I always thought of it as chipped and scraped though :) BUt things like that seems like it boils down to how you interpret it all in the end :)

Thanks for the the tips though. I'm learning as I go here, as this is my first paintjob ever.
