Researching an ESB Boba Fett build and would like some info

    Greetings,

I am researching a build for a Boba Fett approvable costume and was looking for some advice on where to get parts. Because I live in NYC and do not have access or skill to paintbooths, I was hoping to be pointed in the right direction to buy a Fett ESB helmet and armor. In fact I would be happy to get information on reputable vendors for soft parts as well. Would rather research, buy the right stuff 1st, than to make mistakes and have to repurchase due to buying inferior products. Any help would be most appreciated. I look forward to benefiting from your knowledge. I understand that the MR Fett helmet is not entirely accurate, & way more expensive than it should be because it is LFL endorsed. If I would consider paying that much money for an item, I would prefer it be quality and more to canon. Again, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Go to fettpride.com and send Chris an email. It may take a few days but he will answer you, and he makes almost all the hard parts. Asok makes helmets and RKD makes armor. Do some research on which makers stuff will fit you best. Hope this helps.

You seek Darth Vorhees he is in your neck of the woods, also your GML...for the legion. Maybe he can take you under his wing. Either way this is the place to start. Welcome.

It's not going to be an instant costume. You will often have to wait for people to do manufacturing runs of certain parts (Batninja's vests & neckseals, BooBooFett or 99centtaco's ammo belts, Stormrider's EE3 weapons, etc.). However, some parts are offered on an ongoing basis (FettPride armor parts & helmets, BobaMaker parts, Asok's helmets, Man Of War Studios jetpacks, gauntlets, and some soft parts, Arkady's flightsuits and vests/neckseals). This is far from an exhaustive list of current vendors and required parts, and you may want to choose one vendor over the other depending on your location in the world.

My advice is to start with a couple basic parts and look into who's making them; customer feedback from their parts might help you make a more informed decision. Most vendors can be contacted through private messages (PM) for more info, price, shipping costs, etc.

As for painting services, check the cargo hold for people who are offering these services. Check their previous work, availability, and price.

Welcome! I would recommend talking to Lou ( Darth Voorhees ) since hes your GML and a friendly guy that would help you out.

For Hard part Armor dealers I recommend Fettpride, bobamaker, redkraytdragon, RS Propmasters, and Man of War Studios here on the forums, you can look them up on google, message them on facebook or message them for more information.

    Helmet dealers: Fettpride, ASOK, Bobamaker

    Avoid eBay.

Soft Parts like your flightsuit and pouches I'd recommend Arkady.

For your neck seal and vest I'd recommend Batninja.

Leather belt BooBoo Fett or 99centtaco.

For your girth belt, you can visit my thread here below and we can get you started.

Thank you all so very much! I am just now finishing up a Vader build and really enjoyed the process. I have reached out to Lou, and waiting for his response. I know Fett would not be a one stop shop, as Vader wasn't. What I learned was to ask questions before impulse buying, it usually gets you into trouble doing that. Again, thanks to you all so much, this information is invaluable. It will take a while, but I hope to join you all as one of in my opinion most famous Mandalorian Bounty Hunter of all time!
