RE: Left guantlet LED powering

Just got the real LED part from Farnell that goes on the left guantlet. Anyone ever get one and power it up? What kind of battery did you use? Do I need any kind of resister?

The CORRECT Farnel LED is powered by 6 volts, so I got a battery enclosure for 4 AAA batteries with the switch on it from Radio Shack. Simple and Works like a charm. I haven't fried anything, so I must be doing something right. I ordered the LED from the US distributer. They are something like $2.95 but BE WARNED they charge a $20 IMPORT FEE on top of it as they have to order this from overseas. It's NOT a stock item.

My gauntlets at present are being painted by PONTE, so I don't have anything installed yet, but I hope to have PICS when everything is finished.
Hope this info is helpful.
