RafalFett Strikes Back... with the 4th Shin Tool!

I didn't posted here for some time mainly because I have bought for 10USD a hand telescope from etsy.com, more exactly this one (here is the link for the telescope ==> Panorama Telescope On ETSY):

It's a beautiful piece in excellent condition but without instructions or other papers. The only written thing is on the bottom of the box in german - opa hätte das gerne nach gebrauch wieder 'opa' - which I translated to this - grandpa would like to use it again 'grandpa' -:

I bought this mainly because I wanted to see similarities/differences with the 4th shin tool and also with the Supertrooper/Pre-Pro/Promo sling guns. Altough this is not compatible with the 4th shin tool (only if we can find a telescope with the correct thickness) because the casing's thickness is only 1mm and the outer diameter is 32mm (this is not a big issue) it is a good candidate for the sling gun barrel, for both Supertrooper/Pre-Pro #1 and Pre-Pro #2/Promo suits:

I did a parts breakdown file and a basic measurements file of the telescope as a guide for those who whould like to use this for whatever reason:

The casing, the ring and the inner tubes are metal and the rest is plastic:

The hunt continues...

That is an invented tool (specially made for the Visual Dictionary), like the reinvented or modified Sonic Beam Weapon and the Survival Knife:

All the tools, except the Anti-Security Blades are fan made tools, but uses actual found parts, while the Jetpack Adjustment Tool is a steel pipe in lack of found part (but is closer than the fake one).

After reading this thread, I picked up a Technar hand telescope. It's a great match to the sling gun I got from seeker! Thanks for pointing them out!

I'll be swapping the replica parts out for this, so that I can have a retractable barrel :)

I'm glad that this thread helped you out! It seems that most of these hand telescopes shares the same parts and mainly because all these were made in Japan, the most noticeable differences are the presence of the ring and the lenght of the tube.

Going by this image, were there originally two chemical stirrers on the ESB suit?

Actually that is one of the mismatched promo suits with the Pre-Pro #2 armor except the Pre-Pro #1 left chest plate (the SW Blu-Ray armor) and the right gauntlet, the Sandy helmet, the Promo #1 jetpack and cod plate:

The 'extra' Survival Knife (chemical stirrer) must be a leftover from another suit.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate the "made up" props in the DK book. To me that's like inventing things for a King Tut exhibit or adding horns to a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton "because it looks cool". Movie props are pieces of history. In the touring Star Wars exhibit, some of the light sabres are licensed replicas. LAME.
