Quick Girth Question

Hey all, I'm doin the PP2 (at this point; maybe will be PP1) and I need the brown girth belt. The thing is I can get a brown Centaur one for cheap. Just curious, if I do get it, is there anything I need to do with it when I get it before I wear it?

I only ask because I know when people dye them, they have to give it a bath of some kind before dying. Thanks everyone. :cheers
