Question for those who attach their armor plates with velcro

What's the best way to arrange the velcro straps to avoid getting tangled with the wookie braids? I'm planning to use velcro rather than bolts or snaps so I'm trying ot figure out a good way to do this. Pics would be helpful too. Thanks!

Hi,
Take your front armour and put sticky back Velcro on the armour. Then put supper glue on the other side the side that is going on the vest. But make sure you are wearing the vest. I hope that help.

I have also done a velcro system on my vest for my BM armor. The best way is to put the sticky velcro on the inside of your armor, then buy some velcro you can sew on your vest. (Make sure both velcro types are industrial or heavy duty" They put on your vest, have someone trace your armor parts with a pencil or removable marker and you should see all of your armor parts on the vest, next put the sewable velcro on it and your done ! ;)

Thanks, guys! I got that part, i.e attaching velcro to the vest and armor. What I'm wondering is how to avoid getting the wookie braids tangled with the velcro on the armor coz I hear that's the main problem encountered by those who use the velcro method.

I used to use velcro but am in the process of using bolts (like the real prop) It just sits better on the vest that way. There would be no tangles with the braids either. I figure the time investment is about the same. Check out BooBoo Fett's tutorial in the armor section of this site. I hope this helps.

The best way is not to use velcro. I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but it really is ;)

Next, don't use synthetic hair for the braids. Horse hair is very tangle resistant, where synthetic is a nightmare.

I've been using the velcro method on my Boba for almost 11 years and don't recall ever having the braids tangle in the velcro of the armor. That velcro is hidden inside the armor plates anyway so I'm not sure what you mean about hearing people get their braids tangled in it.
