Question: How Much Dye For a Flightsuit?

Hey all,

Im going to be dying my flightsuit in the next week or so but needed to know how much dye to pick up? It looks like the ESB color (RIT Evening Blue) comes in bottles of 8oz. Is one going to be enough for a flightsuit fitting a 6' 190lbs person and pouches, or should I pick up a couple more? Also, are people generally doing this process in a large tub of sorts? I did a search but didn't see much info about the liquid vs powder options or if it even matters.

Thanks in advance!!

Make sure the material is 100% cotton otherwise it will not readily accept dye. Normally when going through this process you want to test some scrap fabric before you do your garment to avoid ruining your expensive flightsuit. Assuming you don't have scrap of the same material to test I would go slow and use multiple dyings of diluted dye so you don't push it too far too quick as fading is much harder than dying.
