QUESTION: ANYONE KNOW THE EXACT NAME FOR THE ROTJ BARREL T-TRACK?

hey guys, have been searching high and low trying to find a more cost effective way to do the rotj blaster barrels' t-track, and every thing i come up with there are pictures of what seems to be the right item, but can never tell...it usually asks for a company name, and they usually sell it in mass quantities...i know of a few individuals that sell the stuff, so i can get it from them, but would it seems i could do alot better on the price...:) does anyone know what the t-track is actually called? what it may be used for? where i could find it to buy smaller quantities to make rotj barrels? is it weatherstripping, gaskets? i know its extruded rubber of some sort, and need to also know what the actual material is...anyone with leads? oh, the stuff i purchase from the guy on ebay has 3M adhesive on the bottom of it as well...thanks! :cheers

Its typically a seal or gasket that goes in a track.

The original t-tracks used for the ANH/ESB Luke, ANH/ESB Vader sabers, E-11 and ROTJ Fett blasters were actually tracks from old cupboards with sliding doors. They are hard plastic, not rubber. In its original form it is dark brown but painted black and bent into shape for the props.

In the original SW films, prop makers utilized black plastic T-track on all the lightsabers and blasters. EVREY prop we've seen spanning all three OT films utilize the exact same style.
This style consists of black plastic track with a groove in the bottom to accomodate a bead of glue, as well as drill holes on the sides of the center rib every foot or so to accomodate nails.
The t-track is naturally black plastic, and was not painted black.

Ive heard 1000 different origins from the props.

The most common, which was part of the darth lightsaber, was a rubber english tank wiper blade.

I think the main point is that selling it for 3 feet for 40 bucks means ever expanding prices, and were looking to find a way to do this so that people can afford these props.

I have plastic T tracks but if the blaster is banged it will crack, so personally I think rubber is better.

Yeah I like rubber since I'm basically a disaster.
