I got my suit from The Prop Palace. I've went into detail before about the problems I ran into with the FIRST one, but they corrected the problems and my SECOND suit is awesome. Total cost including the vest, ankle spats, cape (blah), and cloth belt pouches: $150.00. Before you order one from them, contact me first so I can tell you how to avoid the problems I had the first time around.
It looks like they copied at least one of Katarra's inaccuracies.
Being they are based in the Philippines, I doubt this is Katarra's pattern, but I could be wrong. What are you seeing that I need to fix, Lisa? :?
Boba Fett's jumpsuit only has one "flap" of material around the waistline. Katarra's jumpsuits came with three "flaps". I highly doubt that they exactly copied a jumpsuit from Katarra, just that they saw pics of the Katarra jumpsuits and copied at least some of the details on them, instead of copying the details on the original suits.
Removing two of these flaps is even talked about on the "fixing Katarra's jumpsuit" thread.
The shin pockets are also sewn in the way that Katarra sewed theirs, too. The pockets on the original suits do not have identical stitching details on them. I believe, though I could be misremembering Katarra's suit, that Katarra did sew theirs so that they were exactly the same on each side.
It does appear that they lengthened the hem of the shorter sleeve, though.
Don't get me wrong, I think the proppalace suit looks fine (better than a Dickies!). :) I just think it's funny that they probably did look at Katarra pics and copy those.
Actually, the shin pockets came with three separate compartments in them. I had to unstitch one row of thread in each to accomodate my shin tools. Being the pleats in the waist will be covered by my vest and belts, I am not going to worry about fixing them. Thanks for the insight though. I have never seen Katarra's suit.

Does the Prop palace suit have three stitches on the sleeves and the various rows of stiching on the underside of the sleeve?
Four rows actually, if you count the one that is holding the sleeve closed at the top, then the three rows below it.
Exactly. I was debating whether to count it as three or four. I went with three because it looks like three lines. But you are absolutely correct with four stiches.
Good eye Lisafett! That was the first thing I noticed too! The second thing is that the short sleeve section of the suit is way too short just like on Katarra's suit. The short sleeve should reach all the way down to the elbow!
Yeap you can see sleeve line up with the middle seam on the Chronicles pic.
I saved pics of someone's Katarra suit, and the short sleeve appears to have been lengthened a little bit when compared to theirs. Right now, it looks about right for a pre-production suit. For ESB or ROTJ it would have to be about 3(?) inches longer than proppalace is making them.
Here is a pic of the Katarra suit's sleeve. Notice how close the stitching of the short sleeve is to the armpit. The pic of the proppalace suit is a little folder over there, but it looks to me like it is a good 2 inches longer than Katarra's.

As for the pre-pro being a shorter short sleeve than other versions, look at the Chronicles pic again. On one side, it looks to line up with the belly seam, but on the other side, it does not. I think it's just the way the suit is positioned in that pic. On the prepro Fett standup, you can see that the sleeve doesn't go down to the elbow, rather to about where it is on the proppalace jumpsuit.

You know, I've thought about sewing these suits for people, since I can sew and have already made one suit. Thing is, I don't think I could stand it if I got anybody like me as a customer. :)
The overlap on the sleeves in about two inches, and the bottom of the overlap is about two and a half inches above my elbow.
BobaFettish, does yours have the blousing velcro straps attached to the bottom, as shown in Tylerdurden's Chronocles pic?
Wow, talk about a delayed response from me. The answer is no, it does not have a blousing straps at the bottom nor does it have elastic stirrups. I added them myself. I also need to lower my thigh pockets a bit.
Any one have opinions on the prop palace boba fett jumpsuit? They quoted me $99. The pictures make the suit look really blue. Is it really that blue? Help

Their blue one is light blue (a little too blue for me, but might work if you are doing an ESB suit). Their grayish-green one is olive drab (military green). Learn from my mistake and avoid this color at all costs. They do have a decent pattern though. I ended up sending them my own fabric (five yards of it) and let them do the rest. If you are going this route, have them extend the short sleeves down to the elbow (I would measure this for them). Add several inches (two to four) to all of your body measurements so you have room to move, especially the chest, thighs, and biceps. You don't really need to add to the lengths of anything, just the diameters, but is is better to be too long and baggy than too short or tight (trust me). You will have to remove one row of stitching from each shin tool pocket to accomodate your tools, but it is better to do it yourself since it depends on who's tools you have. Overall I am happy with their workmanship. Shipping is about a month, longer if you send them your own fabric, so don't expect your suit in a couple of weeks. Part of the trip is via boat.
As far as their vest goes, it is okay. Not great, but okay. Their velcro placement is way off (ask them to send it and you'll sew it on yourself). I didn't like the way the neck piece is attached to the vest itself. It is a nice neckpiece, so I'd see if they would make it like a dickie for you (can't hurt to ask). Mine was also a little long, but again I would rather it be too long and have it shortened than the other way around. The fabric isn't too bad, although it is a little too shiney. You can always weather it down a bit.
At $99 its almost better to buy it from Prop Palace than to make it out of two JC PENNY'S suits at $80. I think I have someone willing to sew the costume for me now though, so I guess it would be cheaper that way, and if there was any problems in sizing then it could be done right there instead of sending it back to the Philipines and waiting another month for it to be returned. I haven't priced it yet but the material cannot be that expensive. Any thoughts on this? Which would be the better way to go?

I bought the 7 piece ensamble from PP. It's not that bad. I might have measured myslef wrong, but it's a little short in the crotch area. Gives me a slight wedgie. BobaFettish, does the suit shrink when you wash it? If it does, I'm not sure if it will fit me.
I don't know if their fabric does or not since I sent my 'first' suit back. The fabric I sent them did not shrink when I washed it, but I have no clue as to what it is other than a blend of something (pretty techincal term, eh?). Email them and ask what the blend is. I believe it is the same as the cape which I did wash and it didn't shrink (or if it did, it wasn't noticable).
Duh. Your post did say you used your own material. My mistake.:o Even a slight bit of shrinkage would be noticeable on my suit. I'll just have to wash it and see. Thanks.
Ok... no Prop Palace... I'm doing it myself. i do have a question though ( I seem to have alot of those lately ). I'm in Kentucky and plan on being in New Orleans or Nashville on Halloween. Its still hot, or at least humid around that time of year. Should I go with a lighter material? If so, what should I be looking for? And color? Is it a grey or a blue? I'm a tad colorblind.

If your doing it yourself, just buy a cotton material, it will "Breath" which helps keep you cool, and you can dye it any color you want. You can dye it in a washing machine (recomended for even color) or in a bath tub.
The ESB suit is steel blue, and the ROTJ suit is light gray. :)
Just curious, have any of you guys bought a Boba jumpsuit, or any other Fett parts from "The Prop Palace". I am wondering if their stuff is good for the prices they charge?
I have one of their jumpsuits. Unless they have recently changed fabric selections, send them your own fabric to use. The two choices they used to have are olive drab and light blue. Other than the colors, the overall quality was good. Here's mine.

As for the rest of there stuff, you will find much better options from board members than you will there.
Their quality seems lackluster from what I've read on here (do a search for prop palace), but I'd suggest going elsewhere since they're reputed kiddie porn enthusiasts.

and i did notice their other items were kinda cruddy and probably wouldnt bye anything other than the jumpsuit, gloves, or belt

I was kinda considering some of their items, but when I heard the child porn allegations, I said no way. And I'm always surprised that it's not more of an issue for people on here, and in general. You hear about someone who has exploited a child, basically broken them, and used them, profited from it, or even enjoyed some kinda twisted stimulation from it...and no one acts like it's horrible. So...sorry man, but if you aren't convinced to not do business with them simply from that, then...perhaps you should take a look at that.

Ughh, forgive me for sounding like a broken record, but I'm pretty sure that rumor has been unsubstantiated and put to rest on the RPF. Pretty intense research was done and there is no proof that Thomas Scheuer has anything to do with The Prop Palace. If someone can prove otherwise, please post the info here.

Interesting, I guess Prop Palace is ok.
I have asked prop palace a lot of questions the first being if I could get custom colors and how much extra would it cost. They told me it would be no problem and it would be no extra cost. So you can probably get the jumpsuit in any color you want. As for the porn thing I had no idea until a few months ago when someone told me but it is a big Internet with lots and lots of people in it and would be pretty easy to start a rummer like that so who knows if it is really true or not. The fact is you should not believe everything that you here on the net. But if it were true I don't think that they would be in business any longer.Atleast i hope they wouldent be.

I have never bought any of there Fett stuff but I did get my Vader cape and cloak from them. It might not be 100% accurate but the quality is very nice and I got it ahead of schedule. I am very pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.
To buy from them or not to buy from them, that is the question.
I would ask them to email you a picture of their material to be safe in the event they have not changed their material selections. Add three to four inches to each measurement you give them so that your suit isn't skin tight. If you have 14" biceps, tell them to make them 18" or else they will make them exactly 14" (the mistake I made on the first jumpsuit). As for their workmanship, I have had my suit for over a year, worn it about a dozen times, washed it, dried it, and no threads have come loose yet.
To send them five yards of my material, it costs me around $30 (remember, they are in the Philippines). The turn around time was almost three months, maybe two and a half. So if you are wanting them to use your fabric, be prepared to wait.
For my next jumpsuit project, I am going to find someone a little closer, like Oklahoma. ;)

My vest fabric is still sitting in the same envelope it arrived in. Finding someone I trust not to screw it up is the hard part. I know of two quality guys, one's in Chicago and the other is just north of Texas. ;) I'll let you know something as soon as it happens.

I suggest you to buy just cheap satin material for the vest, actually to do two sets of vests: one for the guy in Texas, and the other to the guy in Chicago. Send the fabric to both guys at the same time, and check for yourself who makes the most accurate vest between both of them. Then, you could send the correct material for the actual vest, and you already have a trust to whoever the guy is the winner.

I hate to keep bumping this thread but I really want to know if the PP jumpsuit is worth getting if I can get my hands on one.
No one can answer that question for you. everyone has an opinion (especially about PP, it would seem), and everyone's opinion is going to be different.
All the info you need to help make the decision is within the posts, above. There's a commentary about the quality of the work (allow a bit more as they come up small, ask to see material first etc). Can't remember whether it's in this thread or another one where the PP jumpsuit was compared to Katara's (sp?) suit when a couple of the inaccuracies were discussed. Think it's in both, actually.
There's comment in here about the length of time they can take.
There's comment about allegations (and they are just that at this stage, it is worth bearing in mind) concerning unsavoury behaviour.
There's comment about the price.
The overall opinion appears to me to be that for the money, it's not bad. Bobafettish gives a good commentary about most aspects of the suit (colour, pattern, fit, etc) about 1/3 of the way down the thread.
Like I said, at the end of the day, no one can tell you, "it's the suit for you, go get it" as everyone has different standards. I doubt Braks buddy would be particularly interested, as he's a stickler for 100% screen accuracy, but on the other hand, when I first started out, I would have been thrilled just to have the suit. Everyones expectations and standards are different and you will be sorely disappointed if you are waiting for that answer to be given to you, I think. It is a decision only you can make.
E.g, someone who really likes it might post a response saying "it's great and everyone should have one"> that would be that board members opinion and it would be entirely correct, if that's the way they felt. Imagine the disappointment if you then ordered it and it took 3 months to get to you (and you wanted it in 2 weeks) and it had three flaps on the waist (and you wanted one, like the films) and the colour was light blue/grey (and you were doing RotJ and wanted grey/tan) and the short sleeves were a little too short. All these things would have been fine for the other guy, but would annoy you and you'd feel like you had been deceived and had wasted your money.
Alternatively, someone might say, "it's a pile of poop. Don't get it unless you're short on toilet paper". you might then not get it, spend twice or three times as much getting one from somewhere else and lose out on a lot of cash when you might have been perfectly happy with the PP one.
The info is all there. All you have to do is make the decision. As with most things, you'll have to strike a balance between accuracy, price, delivery time and reputation of the seller. Work out what your priorities are from that list and base your decision on that. Note that last phrase. It's YOUR decision.

Predatormv, my opinion is that...NO. Don't deal with him, cause I've heard bad things about that dude, and even that he has good stuff, I don't guarantee that he will return the item nor your money. Just go for the safe route, and not a shady one, like the Prop Palace.

The pics are there of my jumpsuit, although I really should take some better ones as that was done with my old camera. Is it screen accurate? No. Have I had tons of compliments on it? Yes. Can you find a better one somewhere else? Yes. Can you get it for less than what TPP sells theirs for? Probably not.
One positive thing I will say about them is that they will work to your specs. On my first suit from them, the olive green one ), I didn't like the position of the thigh pouches, the length of the sleeves, or the shape of the neck. So when I sent it back (along with my fabric), I told them what changes I wanted and they did them on the second suit, no extra charge, even for the shipping. Knowing what I know now, I would have the short sleeves even longer, use a double zipper (which is done automatically now), and only a single row of stitching around the waist. Other than that, I think mine turned out pretty nice.
As a side note, I'll be selling mine in month or so once my new one is made.

Actually, I went with a third option. I will hopefully have the finished vest back around the end of the month or the beginning of June. My fingers are crossed.

I've contacted RA twice for a price quote and they have never returned my email with a response. The first time was a month ago and the second time was about 2 weeks ago. I'm kinda p-ssed about it and I don't think it is very professional at all. Maybe I'm emailing the wrong guy with my questions since they give you 3, I think it's 3, email addresses. Oh well, maybe he has his reasons but I wish I'd hear from him. Especially since I'm willing to sepnd money, or at least I was before.
I'm not sure what's the status on RA, but I've heard that a lot of Fett builders are really busy on the Star Wars Weekends in Disney, and I'm not counting on Conventions, which they have to travel and they get really busy.
Probably you're sending the email to a wrong email address. Trust me, RA is really responsible in replying emails and he's really professional. Probably there's something wrong with your email host, which I suggest to check all your email, cause if you have a lot of email (specially junk email) accumulated, that's for sure that you won't get anything from him or anyone else. Besides, I'm about to contact him to order a vest, and I'm in the timeline to complete my costume.
Bottom line is, "just be patient, my young apprentice!"

I just received my Prop Palace jumpsuit and vest - here's my review of the jumpsuit...
Pros:
- it's gray
- good proportions
- nice details (3 stitching rows on sleeve)
- spats and belt pouches are included
- fits great
Cons:
- shin pockets don't fit my tools, I just need to redo the stitch
- spats are too loose (I just added a second piece of velcro and it's fine)
- gray could be lighter
- everything's one color
(spats should be lighter, I think pouches should be tan)
I really like the suit. It fits great and the cons listed above can easily be fixed with some color remover and thread.

It looks really amazing! I like the review, but I have a few questions for you...

They have definatley improved their pattern over the past two years. The pocket flaps could be a little straighter, and they still continue to use Katarra's incorrect three-pleat belly, but other than that, it looks pretty good. If anybody is interested, I will be putting my PP jumpsuit in The Cargo Hold in a few days. I sent them my fabric, so the color (RotJ) is lighter.
Spats are separate. I tried bleaching the spats with no luck - I soaked them for an hour, and hung in the sun - no color change. I'll use spray paint. The jumpsuit would work for a good garage mechanic suit - it's durable. I washed mine and it's softer now - but still durable. I think they are a cotton-poly blend - but not sure. I'll check with Mrs. TK409 :)
The pocket flaps look good in person - the photo perspective is making them look a little off.
I have to say, that's much better than I was expecting from the Prop Palace. I looks good.
Well I am glad people are happy with thier suits from prop palace since I ordered one and it shipped out yesterday and should be here soon. I ordered the blue suit for pre-pro, I asked about getting different color pouches and he said it was no problem so as far as I know I am getting tan pouches.
I just got my suit from PP, needless to say I am a little less than pleased with it. I ordered the blue one since I am going pre-pro. The blue he uses is a baby blue color and is hidious, I am attempting to dye it to the proper denium blue color it should be. Also, and this is just a mistake, but he forgot to send me ankle spats. I am not really thrilled with the size of it either it was made to fit me but it fits really tight, like when i cross my arms is feels like I am going to tear the thing in peices. The shin tool pockets have to be redone, not a big deal but still a hassle. It does have some good things about it, the material is quite nice and is pretty thick so I am not worried about it coming appart after a day of long use. The design is pretty good too. I would say if you really want one go for the grey as people are saying it is a good color but be prepared to do some work if you want it to look accurate.

You definitely have to give him your measurements PLUS a couple inches extra. You can't give exact body measurements because it will be too tight. You might get a pair of your pants and a shirt that fits well and measure those.
I'll second that. I would add no less than 4 inches to each measurement, except for lengths. For example, if you have 15 inch biceps (flexed), then tell them to make them 18, 19, or 20 inches. Also, measure your inseam, don't go by your regular pants size as there is close to a two inch difference. I made that mistake with them two years ago and ended up with a suit as tight as a stormtrooper bodysuit. They were cool about it and sent me another one although I had to pay for the shipping to return it.
TK-409 did you jumpsuit come with that neck closure? Mine didn't. And it is really tight, when I go to cross my arms it feels like I am going to rip it. Also does it have some thing around the feet or ankles to hold it into your shoes ? If so mine also didn't.

Yea I just sent him an e-mail asking why mine didn't have the neck thing and the stirups. Citing that yours did also I mentioned the size problem. I want to see what he says. Hopefully he will fix the problem.
Yes I just talked to Prop Palace about replacing mine, he said that the tailiers just sent me one they alreday had made thinking it would fit. I am going to send mine back and he is going to remake me one.
Ok, two questions:
1- What is the price for what TK-409 got, the shirt, outer"shirt" neck piece, elastic in the legs, and ankle spats?
2- does their grey appear to be the correct grey for ROTJ color scheme?

Well what he got and what I got are the same, they just made some mistakes with mine that they are fixing. They cost $113 shipped to the US. They come in two colors that dark grey that he got and the baby blue that I got.
