Project: Chest armor stencils

EDIT: I have updated the jpg and the pdfs for the right chest plate showing the missing silver scratch in the lower middle of the plate.

I have embarked on chest armor stencils as one of my many projects. I have attached below a placed image showing you what the first peice looks like and followed by a link to a PDF for download. This is for BM armor but can be modified for anything. I want feed back as any of you attempt to use it. I built this based on photos from Laan for his armor. Not having the actual armor I cant double check my work so please post with any comments of adjustments you want me to make, as these are for everyone. I will adapt these for MLC next, followed by FettPride when I get my hands on a set, this should make a good paint job just that much easyer.

First is the right chest peice. The PDF has the vector art built to size so you will want to print it in peices. I also seperated the scraches by spot color so if you print color seperations out of Acrobat it will seperate them out for you.

Enjoy.. more to come.. :)

Great job Evan!
Thanks for taking the time to do this and most of all for sharing!

I will test this out next week

EDIT: I updated the TOP stencil to show the missing silver scratch I noticed.

I was informed by Laan that he was having issues printing the stencil at 100% from Acrobat so I made 2 pdfs that can be peiced together that are 8x10 inches so they shouldnt need to be sized up. They each have a black border keyline around them to help you line them up.

Delta75 informed me that his stincil worked perfect printed at 90% so I will ajust all the size ratios when its all said and done but for now print at 90% and it should work.

Enjoy!! :)

My right plate using Evan's stencil, minus the weathering.
:cheers

Looking good Wes... I will update my right breast stencil as one of the silver spots seems to have fallen off.... no biggie. I will also post the abb and the collar tomarrow durring my lunch hour.

I have my MLC armor on its way so that I can do the same with it. I will also include a slencil for ensuring the windows are accurate for the lights and work with the TK409 and Shackman lights, as I own one and have access to the other.

MODS!!!! Once these are both complete I will reorganise the first post of the thread with all the PDF links and reference art. If you are willing to make them a sticky at that point please do!!! As that would be easyer then bumping it so people could know it was there and available.

Awesome work evan4218! (y)

The only thing that would make this easier is you coming over and painting the armor for me.....
