There seems to be a lot of "outlanders" here on TDH trying to get equivalent products for those used by american guys.
I'm amongts them, I had difficulties finding Bondo or Sintra equivalents. So I started a list of technical description for some of the commercial products used in armor building process.
(infos sources are mainly TDH and brands websites)
It might help others to find the right local product based on these descriptions, so I share the infos I got:
"Bondo" is a polyester resin putty
"Fiberglass Bondo" is a fiberglass reinforced polyester putty
"Sintra" (aka "Foamex") is a PVC foam that usually comes in 3, 5 or 6mm depth boards.
I don't have in mind others commercial products, but this topic could be feed with any description of products used here...
It'd be great if someone could note here the description of paints, primers and varnish used for armor (I'd say Acrylic for primer and paint, and Urethane for varnish)
