    Productive couple of weeks

I have been busy working on my budget ROTJ costume over the past couple weeks, making a lot of progress. I finished painting my jetpack, finished the interior of my bucket, finished my girth and ammo belts. Just need to finish up some deatils on my gaunts, cape and vest. Purchased just about everything else. Just waiting for my flightsuit and and gloves to come in. And I am happy that I am still under $100 dollars

I will post pics of my suit so far tonight.

    Re: Productive couple of weeks

Here are some pictures showing my progress:

Boots and rifle still need work obviously

Went a little over board tearing up my cape

Gauntlets and Jetpack are scratch built using WOF templates- all cardboard

Ammo belt made using Batninja's tutorial

Girth belt made using tk409's plans

Helmet liner is just some spandex to help keep light out and keep the bucket straight on my melon

Now before you guys tear me apart, I am not going for 100% accuracy. Just trying to make a budget Boba for my first venture into costuming.

Not bad for a first try! I applaud your effort for doing some parts from templates which makes your suit more personal. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Rafal. It has been a blast putting this together, I have definitley caught the Boba building bug!!. And this costume is a stepping stone to the next, more accurate suit.

Re: Productive couple of weeks- update 9/19/2011

Just finished my body cast. Used an old t-shirt and seven rolls of packing tape. Seem to work really well. Cant wait to start molding my armor. It was a really good "bonding" experience for my girlfirend and I Haha pun intended. But it could have been a really "sticky" situation if she wasnt there to assist me. She says she wished she video "taped" the whole process. hahaha ok I am done with the bad jokes....for now.
