Pics of my first troop out in my ROTJ Boba Fett

Here are some pictures from my first troop in my ROTJ Boba Fett. It was a troop to raise money, food and litter for our local pet shelters as well as draw attention to the adoption day that was gong on. The troop was a huge success as always.
Please let me know what i can do to wear this better. All comments and suggestions are welcome! I want the best looking Fett i can have when i put it on.
As far as my costume, i had nothing break and nothing fall off or malfunction! It looks like my ammo belt should be worn a little higher and i still cant figure out whats bothering me with my helmet. It just looks like its maybe sitting too far foreword? The Tie Pilot in the pics is my wife. Its still a huge work in progress as far as upgrades, but i thought it looked great for the first time out. Everyone loved it and the best part of the troop was when a small child ran up to me with a lego Boba Fett figure saying its you! Its you! ....Thanks for looking.

Looks great parts list? Yeh the helmet seems to sit a little forward...maybe try some padding in the back and less in the front?

To get my helmet to look right, it's actually tilted back a good bit. Basically the bottom of the helmet is closer to being parallel to the ground than the eyeline is. I find it's tougher to see this way (cause you're kind of looking over the mandibles) but the helmet reads better for spectators.

Great looking kit. It looks like your ab plate is a tad to close to your chest plates and something isn't quite right about the diamond placement. I hate nitpicking and i hope you dont take offense. I may have been studying reference images too long, that i cant just enjoy a good looking Boba Fett.

Thanks guys! I'll try and post a parts list tonight or tomorrow. Here is pic of how I have the helmet padded now. Just a piece of soft foam up front and a MCHE military pad in the back. Nothing on top or the sides as of now.

just fix it with your sonic screwdriver.

The kit looks good, and it looks like it was a good troop.

Very nice Fett! You might want to add a little weathering to the gauntlet hoses...suit looks freaking awesome!

The overall look of the suit is great! The helmet is indeed tilted forward a bit, but the original was that way too. I think you might fix this by adding a bit of padding to the inside of the dome top to rise the helmet. If that doesn't solve your problem, then try to do the same with the back of the helmet. And I agree about the armor plates being a bit out of focus, more exactly the center diamond is too high, the abdominal plate's placement must be a bit lower and the collar plate should be higher, almost choking you. Here's an image with the ROTJ Hero suit that might help you with the new armor position:

The ammo belt is in the right position but you should raise the girth belt to the position seen in the image posted above.

You wear the suit well and be proud for the amazing suit!

Re: Pics of my first troop out in my ROTJ Boba Fett

First off....wow, thanks for all the complements everyone. It means the world coming from this group! It would not look so good if not for the wealth of knowledge and help that everyone displays on these forums.

I want to point out that I did not build this suit from the ground up or do any of the painting. I bought up all the pieces I needed then proceeded to tailor and make everything work for me, then I went back and weathered it all. It's still a huge work in progress with a lot of parts I intend to upgrade. For instance, I have a set of MOW gauntlets that should be arriving on my door step any day now. I can't wait to start those from scratch.

I'm supposed to be "working" right now, lol so I'll post up the parts list when I get home this evening. RKD, most of these parts should look familiar...

The best thing about the chest armor, is I haven't snapped it down yet, so it's just velcro'd on until I find the perfect placement! So that should be no problem to fix. I'll look at some reference pictures to get the weathering on the gauntlet hoses. Thanks for pointing that out, I never would have noticed! I will definitely try out all the ideas for the helmet. It just sticks so far forward and looks like a bobble head. Not sure if the bottom shape has anything to do with it? It's a SGT FANG.

And I didn't realize the sonic screwdriver was in the shot, ha ha!

AWESOME! The only thing I could see comparing the picture Raf posted versus your pictures was the spats in the reference pic do not have weathering on them and yours do, your cape could be a little more tattered/ frayed at the bottom, and(previously mentioned) hoses need some weathering. Outside of that, you look like a psitting image of it and still look freaking awesome as is.

Re: Pics of my first troop out in my ROTJ Boba Fett

I just like a really dirty looking Fett, that's why I went against the reference material and weathered the spats. At first I had the boots, spats and shins of the costume super dirty, but I decided to tone it down a bit. I'd love to be as close to the pics as possible, but the dirty Fett with almost new looking spats just doesn't look that pleasing to my eye. Especially when the flight suit and boots are weathered. ? I agree about the cape also!!!! That will be done for sure! It's one of those things where in person it looks good, but in the pictures, it's not weathered enough.
I was pretty sure it was a SGT FANG. ? I can go back tonight and double check. It's a resin helmet. And as far as the ears, tey are bondo'd to te helmet and then painted. I think is eventually like to get a fiberglass helmet.
Again, thanks so much for the comments and suggestions! I want this thing to be perfect. How do you y'all feel about aluminum shoulder studs? In fact I still need to get the aluminum jetpack beacon and stabilizer and well as gauntlet rocket.

I was thinking it might have been a Marrow Sun Helmet is all from the look of the inside and the ears not being bolted on...his kinda have circles that wedge into the side of the helmet.

Re: Pics of my first troop out in my ROTJ Boba Fett

    Alright, here we go......

Chest and back armor is RedKyratDragon
Jet pack is MOW with resin beacon & stabilizer (for the moment)
Im not sure about the gauntlets, but I have MOW gaunts arriving any day now
Knees are FettPride with aluminum knee darts
Helmet is a SGT Fang (I think)
    Shoulders are FettPride
Boots are CA boots with resin toe spikes
    Cape and braids by Woodman
    Gloves are Saintnasty
Blaster is foam, looking to get a kit or finished blaster right now
Ammo belt and jet pack harness is BBF I also have the accurate divers buckle
The vest, pouches and neck seal are TK-409
    Girth belt by Dan M
Not sure who made the jumpsuit
    Resin shin tools
Under Armor sand colored heat gear balaclava
Like I said, I bought these parts, that's why I'm not sure of some of the makers

    I'm 6 foot tall and 160 pounds

At the moment I'm looking at buying and aluminum beacon & stabilizer and aluminum gauntlet rocket if anyone has anything extra laying around...

And thanks again for all the comments! Once Mardi Gras calms down here, I'll be making your suggested improvements!
