Painting a Hyperfirm?

Hi all; been a while since I've been around but I've just got my hands on a Hyperfirm ROTJ EE-3 and would like to paint it up like the screen used one.

I was thinking of using acrylic paints as they're quite flexible and may not flake off as easily as other paints applied to rubber.

Has anyone painted their Hyperfirm and if so how did it go? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of paint to use?

I have painted a few Hyper-firms ;)

wipe it down with alcohol first to remove any residue
I use Krylon in the rattle-can myself
the EE-3's a pretty firm, so flexing isn't really an issue
the Acrylics should be fine , but I'd suggest a base of the Krylon first

and...
Congrats on your new acquisition
