So, just getting started on my ESB Boba Fett. This is my first major build on my own. I'm excited and a bit anxious and looking forward to the experience. I have about 2/3 of the items needed either on order or are currently in transit. I will update as items arrive and when progress has been made on the build. I'm planning to re-paint the helmet so that the suit as a whole looks more consistent.

I picked up the armor from a local Garrison member. He goes by JediJeffrey on the forums.

Received my Ammo Belt from Delta 13 last week and received my shipment from Man of War Studios this afternoon. Better than Christmas! ...along with a lot of upcoming work.

The more I look at the helmet, the more I think I may just have to pick up a different kit and start over. The back panel does not line up with the visor and the helmet as a whole is lopsided. I don't know that a repaint can fix that kind of thing.

Good luck. You should post some better pics of the helmet and get some advice on the board here before tossing it out. It might be salvageable.

Placed an order for the Premium ESB Helmet from Animefan (FettPride) and hope to have it by March. In the meantime, there is still plenty of work to do. My Flight Suit and other soft parts arrived today from Arkady. The Cape is MOW.

For some reason when I signed up here it wouldn't allow me to use Darth Angelo. Not sure why. That's why I'm PaintedHunter here. I've thought about changing it on the Garrison forum, but not sure it's the best idea. Here and on BHG I'm PaintedHunter. I got the helmet from a friend of a friend. Gave me a decent deal, it's just not on the level that I need it to be for what I want to do.

Progress Report:


I have received most of the items that I have placed orders and paid for. The MPP Flash Tube for the EE-3 Blaster tip was airmailed this afternoon from England and I'm anticipating that it will arrive soon (hopefully by next week.) The new Helmet is due the end of February, and I should have all electronics, the visor and the helmet interior kit ready when it gets here. I am still waiting for a run -and deciding- on a harness for the jet pack. Need to order the chest display. Need magnets for attaching the armor to the flak vest and a couple of minor gadgets to complete the gauntlets. I will pick up some velcro for the girth belt, the pouches, shoulder bells and knee armor. Need some glue and some nylon straps for the knee armor and the cod piece. All the paint is here and I have been looking at purchasing an airbrush system in the near future.


It is time to begin my end of this as most of the gathering is complete. I'll start small and work into the complex parts of the build between paintings and when I can squeeze the time in. Planning to begin with weathering the cape, and following where that leads me.

So, Since this last post was made I have received the MPP Flash Tube for the EE-3 (Sidewinder,) The Jet Pack Harness Kit (Bigdane,) The Fettronics Chest Display, the Remote Servo Kit/RF Light Kit and the Jet Pack Beacon Kit (JC27,) all industrial strength adhesive backed velco needed for the build, and canvas/nylon strapping for the Knee Plates and Cod Piece/Butt Plate assembly. New pics coming sometime this next week. I need hooks and clips for the Jet Pack Harness, and thinking about having a different Rocket made for the Jet Pack. Animefan's Supreme ESB Helmet Kit should arrive at the end of February.

And now the Scary Thought: I'm seriously considering selling the build I have here. Is anyone possibly interested?

If you are splitting it I would be interested in bits , pulce sidearm and holster etc

Why's that? You've gone to a lot of effort and expense so far and you seem to be in the home stretch.

I can't argue with that. I just don't know that I'm going to have the time available to finish it off.
I'm not one with the patience to work on something like this for the next year or so until it's completed.

If you're serious about splitting it up I'd be interested in some stuff, however, you'll probably seriously regret coming this far and then parting with it all.

Same as the people above, I'd be interested in some parts (wouldn't be able to afford it all at this moment) but I guess you indeed will regret it. Think it through before deciding.

So, due to some serious time constraints I'm not going to be able to complete this build. I've been spending the last 6 months gathering all the parts and I believe all that are left are hooks and clips for the Jet Pack. Everything is as I've received it from the respective vendor. Unpainted, unweathered, unassembled. I'm not going to part this one out, it's an all or nothing kind of deal. I'm only asking what I paid and I will consider any realistic offer. PM me for more details.
