Official Utility Pouches Thread

I made a seperate belt that these go on. Then I put the ammo belt over the top of that. I used velcro on the front side of my Pouch belt, & on the inside of the ammo belt. That way the smaller pouch belt will stay hidden underneath the larger ammo belt. Theres just too much stuff on the leather ammo belt + ESB side arm. On my 1st belt I tried to fit everything on the big ammo belt, but found that the 2 seperate belts works better, (at least for me )

Well, here's the work I did for the belt pouches dimensions. For the bottom, invert the diagonal line the other way to use as the left side. This is an example for the right side, and leave an extra 1/2 inch around of fabric when you cut this patterns. For the thigh pouches, just omit the middle square and of course leave an extra 1/2" of fabric for the seams instead. Join the 2" segments together to form the "box" before attaching to the thighs, and use the flap segment to sew straight to the jumpsuit after you sew the pocket box.

For the belt loop, that will be sewn in to the back of the pouch once is sewn together,

Hope this clarifies your doubt a little bit.

Although it's not movie-accurate, I sewed belt loops onto the back tops of my side bags. Velcro is probably the best way to go, but I usually carry my amplifier system in one of them, and didn't want to take a chance on having the pouch slip down during a gig.

Just my two credits...

Utility pouches question

I had a stupid question about Boba's Utility Pouches. i'm doing a RTOJ scheme and Ive seen several photos of his thigh & cloth belt pouches stuffed differently. Some with tons o' stuff in them making them very pronounced, almost boxlike on the thighs, and very heavy sagging belt pouches. Ive also seen several photos which looks like nothings in them at all ????
I was curious to get some feedback on what y'allz put into your pouches ( foam, paper, nudie mags:love)and what would be the most comfortable. I know I could answer my own question im sure, but id like to hear other suggestions

In the belt pouches I just got I put old socks (clean socks) in them to make them look kinda full but still be light and not hard. The thigh ones I left empty but will probally but things like a wallet and glasses case in them.

I have foam blocks in mine as well, although one is cut around my Radio Shack amplifier system.

I don't have anything yet, cause there's gonna be a lot of stuff in both belt pouches, specially my Radio Shack amplifier, plus my wallet, my watch and my camera(s) most likely in the other side.

The thigh pouches with the foam blocks sounds like a plan. :)(y)

While looking over the side saddle pouches this morning I noticed something I haven't seen mentioned before. While most of the Fett suits have a distinctive left and right pouch, the ESB has two of the same kind! See the pics below. Interestingly enough this is present in all the ESB shots as well as the prepro 3 suit which is basically a pre-esb suit. Amazingly enough it is also present on the Marmit! Has anyone who is making an ESB suit noticed this or made their pouches this way?

What's with the arm of the jumpsuit looking quilted? Look at it ... NO, LOOK :p That looks weird :rolleyes That's one thing I never noticed, but I really haven't taken that long a look at the ESB suit, I have other interests but still interesting all the same :D

I never noticed it before! Hey, I have a theory. In ROTJ one of the pouches were simply inverted like a sock. I can do the same with my RA pouches and the bead (is that the right word?) and the seams ain't too conspicuous.

Finished ! My ROTJ Belt Pouches - Pic

hey all, after a good night of research, two prototypes, I Was able to muster these up...ROTJ pouches :) I still have to dye them, I was thinking of simply throwing them in pot of tea to stain them the correct hue of tan.

Those look Great! I'd like to know how the tea works to color them. I made some from canvas and used RIT dye, they shrunk way too much from the hot water. Next time I'm going to try just soaking them in cold tea or coffee for a week to see what happens. Keep us posted.
