i think having the barrel turned around looks like you gave it your own creative touch ( even if you didnt purposely do it) It makes your blaster unique and cool.
:suprise thats a sweeeeet blaster man :suprise even if the barrel is on backwards, i like the silenced look ;).
i need to get a better blaster. for now its the nintendo zapper for me.
keep up the great work. can't wait to some more of your stuff. :)

I have a holo of Boba from a Boba toy. I saved this holo, and just noticedhe has the gun out of the holster. Unfortunately, since it's a holo, the details are not too good. If enough interest is generated, I'll pull it off of my wall and scan it.
If it's out of the holster it's highly likely that it's the 'sling' gun from the pre-production Fett costume.
It's a short pistol with a 'stock' that goes back to the armpit, ending in a crescent shape. It's commonly seen out of the holster in publicity/prepro shots.
The esb sidearm is a little larger (the main body) with no stock and, so far as I've heard, is never seen out of the holster. It's assumed that it is the same or like to the bespin security pistols. It was (is this confirmed?) made from a spear gun. The only reference we have for it is some behind shots that show the pistol butt, and the nozzle sticking out of the holster.
Can you see which one it is? Or if the picture is in color, which version of Fett is it?
Phil
Unfortunately, it's the prepro gun. Has the stock. Sorry. :o I can't really tell colors, but the left gaunt has the uncovered flamethrower, leading me to believe it's the ESB Fett. Sorry for the false alarm.
no sweat. if it hasn't been out of the holster, how would you know whether it was or wasn't the esb? lol...
Does he have red/yellow gauntlets or green ones?
Also a telltale sign for the prepro suit is the excessively long drill on the left gauntlet.
Phil
Looks red, but no long drill. Again, holo makes colors difficult.
If its the holo from the POTF line, its a PRE-Pro pic. (originally came on a green card right?) the older version came on the orange card w/out the holo, but it was the same pic. Clearly pre-pro.
Yeah, I think so. My memory's not anything to brag about, though.
I know this has been discussed a lot on this board but I was looking through the RPF at the Jabba Guard Blaster discussion ( http://rpf.prop-planet.com/viewtopic...=58483&forum=1 ) and I started thinking... With a little modification here and there this could have possibly been a source for the ESB sidearm.

Please share your thoughts.
I don't know about the ESB side arm but that is the gun they used to make the blaster where Luke uses his force powers to take the blaster from a guard to shoot Jaba in ROTJ. I just saw this on the parts of Star Wars site. Check it out click here.

It certainly does look as though the potential is there. All we ever really see of the gun is the few ****** pics that have the butt of the gun showing or the front with the barrel sticking out of the holster.
Steve
I can imagine the butt of the gun being squared off and the back of it chopped off, and a new tip... The top could probably be smoothed out, but remember we've never seen that part of the gun.
exactly,I'm always open to new possibilities :)
The shape is wrong. We do know what the grip of the Fett sidearm looks like and that doesn't resemble it at all.
Also that gun was used in ROTJ made here by the US prop dept, totally different company than the one that built the ESB props.
I know this is an old thread but does anyone else painted thier sidearm? Im almost done with my sintra holdster and my zapper will be ready for paint soon.
I painted mine some brown, but I left one of my zapper's its original bright orange for a laugh at cons.
I used a rust color, looks like a brown or very dark orange depending on the color, don't have active linking but the pic is on my site under 'Fett 2.0'

Hope this helps,
Phil
This is the official sidearm thread
I'm getting my MLC sidearm ready for painting, and I just wondered if the trigger was silver or brown.
The reason I ask is, I can't tell in this picture if it's the trigger that's metalic or if it's just a reflection on the gun...

Thoughts...?
Cheers!
TJ
I just asked for more pics of that gun in the other thread. Do you have additional pics of it and/or the kit?
Thanks,
Geo
Those are the best reference pics available that I am aware of.
The MLC sidearm isn't a kit. It comes ready to paint. I don't have pictures of it, and it's mostly covered in tape right now, so do a search on MLC sidearm. I'm sure you'll find it in one thread or another.
Cheers!
TJ
Thanks,
Geo
No one has an opinion on this?
Bounty hunter 185:
"how do you go about taking the cord out? do you just yank it out or is there another method?
any input would be Great!!"
185, I have an older video game gun that I've been modifying and it also had a thick wire coming out of the bottom. I just cut it out and filled the hole with two part plumber's epoxy putty and sanded it down. It's alot more durable than bondo, but it's also more difficult to sand. I also used this stuff to make "weld" lines down the seams of my kid's custom jet pack.
I was always thought it was the Bespin Guard blaster...from the looks of it.
I'm using my old tiger paintball gun for the sidearm:

I think it will work once it's painted and molded. I also have to cut off the paintball chamber on the top and fill it in. So far, it's completely gutted and glued in certain spots.
I believe i used to have one of these guns. Does the barrel unscrew from the body?

I know that the ESB Fett sidearm has yet to be positively identified, and it looks pretty much like we never will given the existing state of ESB Fett reference materials.
However, take a peek at what I scored:

This is an old (70's I think) Monteverdi TV Sports Game pistol (model E-825 if you're interested). I think this will look pretty dang nice parked in my holster once I give it a few mods.
You guys like?
Yep, it does. If I remember correctly, (I have this thing packed away right now) you can add an included longer barrel and stock to turn the pistol into a rifle.Quote:

<font color="red"> Well according to this diagram http://www.cybernex.net.au/users/dal...rmourguide.jpg that there was a partial pic of in a previous post it is supposed to be a concussion-grenade launcher. Just thought I'd put in my two cents.
it's very rare to see boba fett with his secondaary gun. this is because for there are so few times Boba Fett actually relly needs it. however i found some pics of the side arm hope these help.

I guess I should have posted my thread in THIS thread- I upgaded my MLC sidearm with a machined aluminum barrel.
Take a look here:

How about this? The grip looks right and the trigger as well, but the trigger guard seems a little to round. (I am assuming Fett carried a Besbin Blaster facimile) The upper rear portion of the grip also looks very close. Now the rest of the gun (upper reciever etc) is still a mystery to me.

Guys, in theory, this blaster could be one of Jango's westars, it helps with the continuity and plot connection of the two trilogies.

Well, I have an interesting find. I was lookin for some airsoft and came across what the Monteverdi toy gun is based off of. check my new thread...

Deleted. It can be found in parts of star wars web.
I'm looking for a little detail info regarding the ESB Side Arm "HOLSTER". I was wondering what the general consensus is regarding the material the strapping is made from, I would imagine the color would be Black and the material is...
A. Leather
B. Web Strapping (like the :jet pack Harness)
C. Elastic
D. Rubber
Let's hear your thoughts guys!
THX
:cheers
I have the actual Nemrod holster and I can tell you it is a ribbed rubber/urethane strap. I will see if i can take some detail pics tonight.
I cant find that ribbed rubber anywhere. I thought about just using leather.
Hei! Searching I saw this speargun, It's prety close (I think), It has a similar shape to the Nemrod one. For this, They can have used the nemrod holster (from other blasters in the movie) with this speargun:
http://www.skindivinghistory.com/gea...isub-Tigre.jpg
It's a Technisub - Tigre.
What do you think. The curvatures are prety close for me.
:fettesb
That's funny! I was just looking thru some pics of vintage spear guns not too long ago and found this one.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b2...Paul-Herri.jpg
It looks kind of close, too.
Yep! It's kind of close, seriously! :suprise I think, on the real one they cutted the "guard-trigger".
What do you think? ;)
