Duh - Very nice indeed! I actually put a few hours into mine this weekend. I figured an easy way to make a hardware split plug to use on it...I'm going to post some diagrams.

    http://tdh.prop-planet.com/viewtopic...c=8544&forum=5

What did you use for the blocks on either side of the scope?

I don't plan on getting any more in, unless there's a large order (at least 20x sets).

Thanks to everyone who bought them, I hope to see lots of ESB BlasTech rifles on the board!

    Doh!

I've seen a few on Tyco's site that are pretty close though.

    I smell hardware blocks...

Cool! Man, I love it! It is really turning out cool looking and I bet the weight is pretty light too, huh? Just right for trooping.

    Thanks guys

It is really light. Just right for trooping. The heaviest thing is the barrel and that's not even a pound. I forgot to mention what I used to glue the pieces together. I used super glue. Works great. I thought at first that it would dry to fast and I mite get them positioned wrong. But it turned out that it was pretty easy to get the layers lined up without fault. But I did get super glue all over my hands. But it wares of in a day plus I use sand paper to get it off my fingers witch takes it off pretty well.

Thanks guys. I have now finished the stock layers and have cleaned and rounded off most of the pistol. I found out that I made a pretty big mistake. For some stupid reason I did not make the stock layers on the right side long enough. They were supposed to go all the way to the inner edge off the D connector but I made it to go on the outer edge instead. It is not that big of a problem all I have to do is fill that in with some bondo and problem fixed. I mite just leave it like that since it is a custom rifle. I don't know. Other than that it is coming along vary nicely. All I have to do now is clean up and round off the stock and I will be finished with the pistol/stock and ready to attach the barrel and other details.

How sturdy is it? Is it very flexible?

Wow, That's a great complement. Thanks. I could start making them for people but I would have to think about it for a while this thing was dang hard to make. My fingers are still hurting from cutting the layers. I think it is time for me to get a jig saw. I think that's the one, i always get the saw names mixed up

I am now finished with the stock and have smoothed out the grooves and nicks with bondo glazing putty. Now all that has to be done is cleaning up the trigger.

Holy cow Phantom this is turning out fantastically! I cannot wait to see the end result. How are you gonna attach the grip and stock to the barrel?

    Thanks guys

I plan on trying to make it ware i can interchange barrels gluing a piece of pipe on the stock/pistole and then just slip the barrel on and off for storage and i may want to make another barrel someday.

That's a good decision. No sense in wasting this much time and effort on 1 blaster when you can basically have 2! An ESB barrel will be easier to make that the ROTJ one.

I am almost finished. I just have to figure out what I am going to do about the pistol details. I am having a problem with the clamp piece ware the barrel meets the pistol. The original plan was to try and recreate a whole clamp piece and fit it over the barrel just like the real thing well, I made the clamp and formed it to the barrel but since I made it so the barrel can be detached it is not going to work out. So what I am doing now is putting the lower detail of the clamp on the pistol and leaving the barrel as is for a quick and smooth fit. The thing is I think it looks a bit odd. Not to bad but I wanted to get some opinions from you guys before I glued them on permanently. What do you guys think?
