Well, soon I will try and make a Boba style blaster out of sheets of sintra. I have already made the templates I am just waiting on the sintra. What I am going to do is use layers to give it details. It will have about 11 layers of .120 thick pieces on the pistol and 13 to 15 layers on the stock. I will post my progress as I go along. Hopefully it will come out decent.:D

Any idea on how many layers it will take you for each section? Seems like it would be quite a few.. Look forward to see your progress.

Edit: Hey 100th post..

Hey that's pretty cool man. I hope you don't mind but I printed that out and used that template to make my stock. It is a very good template. I was wondering how you make all your templates because you seem to make them for alot of your suit.

You are more than welcome to use my templates. But the template that is up now is to long. But I have now fixed it and it will be posted. To make this template I took a picture of a webly and traced it with photo software. Then sized it:D

There is about one layers for each section on each side. two on one section. Here is some pics so you can see my plans.

And here is the new stock template.
Stock with hand grip
stock only

A friend of mine did the laminated Sintra version as well. It turned out very nice! He used a Nintendo gun as the base and built up around it. The entire rifle is extremely lightweight and sturdy.

He used small M&M canisters to make the scope.

Thanks guys:D

I would love to post more progress but I ran in to a problem. My computer is on the fritz:wacko. I tried to load a stupid game and when I restarted it tells me that it cannot update the configuration files to 1% from 2%. That's all it does is keep repeating it self and never loads windows:angry. so now I am stuck with the templates I have already printed. All my other work is trapped in that evil machine. It is a good thing I already printed the main body templates. I still need to do the rest of the detail but cant do that until I make the main body so I get the size right. Now I can't do that when I get the body done until I get my computer back to normal and the only person that can do that is my sister who is unfortunately recovering from back surgery that she had two days ago. And she wont be back on her feet for about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. I would really like to take a heavy blaster to that piece of junk they call a computer. Oh well I suppose I will get it back sooner or later. Hopefully with all my work in tact.:D

Hey phantom, If you cannot get it back, May I suggest buying a new hard drive and loading windows onto that then you can slave the old one and salvage your templates and any other files you want.

That is a good idea. That is most likely what would happen if I cant get it back. I think I will though. My sister went to school for this type of thing so she knows tricks to get bad computers on line again. Heck she just got my brothers dead com back to life. And it was messed up. A lot more than mine. I think. I Hope. Hopefully i will be back in business in a week or so:D

Well, I have yet another delaying problem. I got the sintra today witch at first I thought was great because I can finely get to work on the main body. I went to get it out of the box and when I did I noticed that it was a bit thin. Us plastics sent me the wrong thickness:angry. I ordered .120" thickness and I got about half of that. So now I have to send this back and wait some more for the right thickness to arrive. Somebody does not want this Boba blaster finished. First my computer now this. O well I will get to it someday. Hopefully in the near future.

Finally some good news. I now have my computer back(y). It is working for now, still needs some major work but basic functions work fine. And I got the right thickness of sintra and have started on the main body today(y) So there will be updates in the near future:D
