Newbie FINISHED his first fett.

Awesome work, man. I don't know why you think 501st wouldn't accept it - I've seen some Fetts that have way more issues get accepted. I agree though - bring in your thrusters, dirty up that vest a smidge...I can't see much else that would really go against 501st.

Agree with Deathproof's statement above. If your not interested obviously that's your choice. But you've got WAY too much time and money in this if that is a goal. Looks like one good weekend of weathering would fix most seen issues,
Talk to Bobafiend if you need weathering hints. He's a master at making items look legitimately used/worn in.
Anyway, good looking suit man!

Where did you find a mannequin with that pose? Or did you customize one yourself? Just curious, I like the pose compared to my mannequin at home

Looks great. One thing that could go a long way is reworking the visor so it doesn't get wider at the bottom. Just a suggestion, it really looks awesome. Nice paintwork.

thanks guys for the kind words, I can definitely cut back the thrusters and the weathering is a NEED now that I look back,,, I'll get on it.

I got the mannequin from a factory in East Brunswick New Jersey. I found them on ebay (name: displayfashion) and ended up visiting their shop. It is the perfect pose fett pose and I have another one to do for a Cody but will be modifying it much more. If you go to their store ask to see their damaged mannis in the back warehouse. They push the new ones in the store front and keep the damaged ones in the in the back.. (and don't advertise they have them to boot)

I cut all five fingers at the (3) finger joints in the right hand and left thumb then made wire tendons so his hand can articulate like a real hand would holding a firearm. I also cut and repositioned the right elbow so to align it with the left hand. I did bulk it up using an old set of BDUs and added a Styrofoam head.
