not the most exciting showoff thread, but here you go:
built using the brak's buddy tutorial. i sprayed the black on though, rather than using tape.
probably the most pointless update i've ever done to my suit, but i'm happy about it![]()
Do you ever...um...sleep?![]()
Nevermind. What you gonna do with the old one?![]()
Any upgrade is a good upgrade![]()
what are you going to do with the old one? make it fight the found part to the death?
Is it me or is the real thing much larger (even width-wise) than the resin ones that most use?
the resin one i had was undersized. it only stuck about 3/4" out of my pocket.
Well that's weird. The popular Darth Flan kit I recently sold matched up perfectly with the found part; i.e. direct cast.
--edit, I never knew an "undersized" kit existed.

Where did you get the real one from, and whats the weight? I have a resin one but ill go with the lighter one.
i actually think it was just cut too short at some point. this is a pretty unimpressive resin kit, which was what got me thinking about the real parts. i may try to get the stir stick at some point too.
the resin one i have matches up everywhere, but is about an inch and a quarter shorter than the measurements on the tutorial here.
Both the stick and the squeegee are still sold.
I've seen them online and at a local camera store. They're not cheap.

Expensive here. Look for them on Ebay. I'd weigh mine, but I don't have a scale that is accurate enough. Less than a pound though!![]()
Why would Fett need that?![]()
hehehe... right now all of my money is going into an all-original-parts* E-11
* 'cept where the original part hasn't been identified yet.
Some smaller photography shops in the uk stock the paterson squeezee for less than you will pay on ebayI managed to get mine for £10.00 from a place in basingstoke, the stir stick was £4.00
