    Hi, new member,just introducing myself,i'm from the UK,looking to start making a BOBA FETT ESB display/costume ,no time contraint,just as a hobby,any sound advice before i take the plunge would be very welcome.

    Hello, welcome.
    Avoid Ebay, or unknown makers/ possible re-casters.(unless like me your trying to track down original parts, or from reputable traders...e.g Man of War (WoF)).
    Read lots of posts, that one is one of my favorites... it's a research thing, another Fav

    From another n00b, that's great advice! Read everything here, and quality stuff here is far above fleebay (except those here with shops there).

    Thanks, i'll take my time looking at the many posts on here to pick up tips of the trade,looks like there is a lot of dedicated people on here ready to give help and sound advice on this journey.

    Both the zero effect and daft aider are correct in what they say RESEARCH !!! then when you think you have researched enough into something do some more.

    Welcome! Just started the same journey as you at the beginning of year. My advice is take your time and do it right from the start so you're not replacing items down the road. Know before you start this isn't something that happens quick.. Takes time! I started pretty aggressively in January and I'm not even half way done. Most complex Star Wars build if you're going for accuracy.
