Jayvee, thanks for the quick crash course on airbrush set up. You have been a lot of help and it's very much appreciated. Is there a certain brand of paints that I should look for?

More than welcome mate. I prefer to use enamels, as s I feel they have a really nice colour depth, and nice finsh, but some other excellent painters like Superjedi, prefer acrylics for the ease of clean up. Either way, with a quality paint, you cant go too wrong. I like to use mainly Humbrol enamels, and the other excellent option, and what the real helmets were painted with, are Floquil enamels. Both are great choices, Humbrols full range is simply more available in my area. If you go the acrylic route, you probably cant go past the pollyscale range, which basically is the floquils in an acrylic version. Humbrol do an acrylic line too, but dont have quite the range of colours as thier enamel range.. There of course are other brands such as Tamiya, but these two are the best in my mind.. :)

Hello Everyone, I am finally back. After being gone from here for almost a year I am back and got me an Asok CC. I am super excited to get started but still doing research on here. I am completely new to this and have no experience. First question is what all goes into the prep work and how do I clean my helmet up? And when I ask how do I clean it up, I am talking about a bunch of little bubble looking bumps on the helmet particularly in side the keyholes of the MQ-1. How do I go about removing these and cleaning it up? And as always thanks for your time.

I would use a very small dremel bit to grind those out. As for finishing it, try running it under cold water while sanding it with 0000 steel wool.that should give it a good silver shine.
