New Hunter
Hey ya'll,

My Name is Mike and i'm new to the boards here. I'm wanting to start on a Boba Fett but I need a good place to start. I'm also on the clonetrooper boards because i'm eager and anxious and somewhat crazy  wanting to build a Fett and a Clone. I'm looking for any and all advice. If anyone is willing to help me start acquiring what I need, a check list would be awesome. To be specific, I want to build a ESB Boba Fett . Well, that should be all for now!
Thanks,
Mike

I'm about 1/4 the way down the ESB Fett journey myself...
I got a wicked flightsuit, hip pouches, flak vest, and neckseal from Arkady. They're all the correct colors, so no need to dye the fabrics. They are custom tailored to your measurements, and her turnaround time was less than a month (back in November). However, Batninja is doing neckseals and vests right now, and they are AWESOME!!! (I got one of his neckseals when Arkady's ended up being a little too small, my fault), and I'm seriously considering trading up to one of his vests too).
I have a pair of saint_nasty's gloves, but he just finished a run. However Man of War Studios is getting into the soft parts with some new gloves that'll be coming out shortly. He puts his stuff on ebay.
Speaking of Man of War, he'll be releasing redesigned boots shortly on ebay. Everyone's raving about them right now. And for resin jetpacks and gauntlets he's hard to beat, price-wise. Only on ebay, though.
I scored one of asok's cold-cast resin helmets used in the cargo hold recently. It's a really nice piece of work! He has a cold-cast hemet sale thread in the cargo hold. Very reasonably priced.
Woodman makes a really nice cape and wookie braids. Mine just came in today! He also does the red girth belts too, and everyone can't say enough good things about his stuff.

My upcoming purchases will include...
BooBooFett's leather ammo pouch & belt
Woodman's girth belt
Redkraytdragon's IOA armor (it's sized a little bigger but it's extremely reasonably priced, durable, and most everyone seems to love it!!)
Stormrider's EE3 blaster; Sidewinder makes a pretty decent-looking EE3 blaster too, judging by his pics. Or maybe hold out for Hand-Schaub's bronze blaster replica, if he decides to do another run?
MojoFett's various metal parts: toe spikes, gauntlet darts, jetpack greeblies, helmet borden connectors, etc. Look for his stuff on ebay and in the cargo hold.
Darkside has just started taking orders for a bunch of metal Boba & Jango parts: knee darts, gauntlet missiles, collar knobs, etc.

I can't leave out 2 of the more popular hard part makers: bobamaker and fettpride. If you're willing to wait, they make some mighty fine helmets, armor, and gauntlets! Bobamaker's turnaround is around 9 months from what I last heard, but fettpride is clearing out his backlog as we speak. May be worth checking out!

I am certain that I've left out some parts and makers... please chime in, by all means!

Boba and a Clone, not a bad way to start. I started with Jango, and a TK for my wife and a TK myself all at the same time. Watch for burn out and lack of funds.

Good luck to you Mike. I'm starting a boba this weekend. I would love to do a stormtrooper down the line. One thing at a time thought

Welcome! I hope you have a deep wallet haha. The excitement of tons of brown boxes showing up at your door outweighs the hit in your pocketbook though. Well that's what I told myself anyway:wacko

Take your time and enjoy the process....seems like yesterday I was shakingmy first rattlecan, today, I pushed a button and my rangefinder lowered on its own...they grow up so fast... ;)

Asok, 3 suits at the same time? You are insane. Anyway, welcome to TDH and enjoy the journey.
