I wish I could start painting this as soon as its trimmed, but I left my compressor in LA the last time I went there, So I have to wait a week or so to get it back.

If you're doing ESB, be sure to fill in the dents on the back plate.

I usually fill them in with JB Weld. Be sure to score the hell out of the surface with an X-Acto before you do any filling.

    Update

Got the cod, backplate, and chest armor all trimmed up. I just need to finish the shoulder armor, kidney, left knee lol, right knee (when it comes), and the collar armor.

This armor is so nice that it feels like I am working on the real movie used costume. It is a nice feeling.

Here is the whole lot of trimmed parts

    Cod

    Belly

    Right chest plate

Diamond piece is almost fully trimmed, just need to sand it flush.

    Right chest plate

    One shoulder fully trimmed

    Backplate

Here is the armor on me. Just so you get an idea of what it feels like

Let me know what you think

...And the smell of fresh sprayed primer.

    Update

Well I spent most of this morning, sanding, trimming, sanding, filling, priming, sanding, priming, wet sanding, priming, and painting the silver, haha.

    I am exausted!

    Primed and wetsanded

Backplate with all the dents filled. Thanks Andy!

    Freshly trimmed and primed pieces

    And the silver goes on

    No dent

This is where you need to look where you sit and dont put your cod in your seat....It is a tiny crack that is being repaired with JB Weld currently.

I took this pic cause it looked cool.

Let me know what you think.

    Nice progress bruv...
I totally agree that right shoulder bell with silver on creates a great shot! shame to paint over it!
Sorry to hear about your little accident, but you should be able to make good. You gonna trim out the back plate JP harness slots prior to painting?

Thanks man! Yea I already trimmed out the slots.

I also got the masking fluid all on there. I just have to wait to start painting on the green.

Great progress!! What did you use to trim the armor? Snips? X-acto knife? Make sure you send some more progress pics.

    Thanks guys!

Cojake: I started using my dremel but it was taking way too long and it was just too loud since I live in an apartment. I moved over to my x-acto with a fresh blade.

usmcrice0311: I am using my airbrush, but I do not have my compresor with me so I cannot use it until I get it back.
