New Boba ammo pouch, finished and ready!

Man Sith, I can't believe within such a small periode of time how much work you put into this. The last shots though are really sharp man!!! I'm ready when you are... ;)

So now we're at 3 1/4" for total height of the pouches according to SC's "digital ruler" ;).While I was pouring over my pics last night I just did comparison with the MPP tube that is in the end of the ESB blaster in the pic where Fett is in Bespin hallway. It's on the CD and is in the Action Fig. Arc.

Well the MPP tube is 1 1/2" and when compared against the pouces it definitely doesn't seem that the pouches could be 4 1/2" in height. It is more along the lines of the 3 1/4" with a 2 3/4" belt.

Still comparing though

Dl44, that is pretty much what we came up with last night. We got similar measurements within .1-.2 of inch between the MoM belt/pouches and AoSW belt/pouches, so I think it's safe to say they are all in the same ballpark with minor differences due to the hand made construction.

Digital measuring (done by me at least ) is not the ideal choice for bullet-proof measurements, but we don't have much of a choice. So I'd like to hear if anyone else agrees/disagrees (with evidence either way;)) with the current estimations. So that Sith can finally get some sleep at night!!

SC you are a leather madman. I think I have made a choice. You have mail.

I have thought that the belt itself strongly resembled a police duty belt (gun belt). These come in a standard height of 2-1/4". The stitching, depending on the manufacturer, is pretty consistant with Fett's belt. Also, look at the holes punched out for the double buckle. Hmmm, add some brass grommets and do they look familiar?

This being said (and shown), I don't think that pouches at or under four inches in height is unrealistic.

I think I'm pretty sold on the measurements of the pouches being 3 1/4" high, and the belt being 2 3/4" high as well. The only thing that has me ticked is that my "old" version MP belt had pouches of that height, and I sold it for the "new more accurate" version.

I can't wait to get this part of the suit completely, and 100% nailed. It's the only thing throwing my suit out of proportion now.

Boy, talk about a BIG difference! Here's a paper prototype, using the latest, AND FINAL measurements! The only possible way to make a more accurate adjustment, would be to hold the real deal in my hand, and measure the sucker!
you'll notice the previous "monster" paper attempt.
Looks like I am all ready to start making some pouches! ;)
Notice the paper "belt" as well.

The ESB guys will like this next one. ;) How'd the snap size look? ;) ;)

OK, so what are the final dimensions?

Originally thought to be 4.5 (height) X 1.85 (depth, width) inches

Now 3.25 (height) X ?. the picture comparison appears that the width is smaller on the new final version.

I think the smaller pouch appears more accurate. Unfortunately, I can offer you no definitive size as I do not know how to use this thing (computer) that well yet. However the amount cropped off the upper side tip appears to be to much. Near as I can tell your angle is correct. I keep coming up with 70 degrees via the old trusty protractor on CD print outs and yours. But I think you took to much off the top.

Otherwise very impressive work.

Well, the new height does seem insanley small, but there's no mistaking the size, with such great reference to base it on. Mr. Fett got to hold my last leather prototype yesterday (the 4.5"), and he thought they were pretty large, compared to what he had remembered them looking like, from MOM.
I hope to maye have an entire belt finished today or tomorrow, with the "final" measurements. ;)

The new size looks a lot better than before! I love the addition of the snaps to the underside.Your work on this is astounding SC,and it is really coming together fantastic.I can hardly wait to see an entirely finished belt w/pouches around your waist for the final judgement ;) eventhough I'm sure it'll be the best ever done. :) BTW,I think that the painted vinyl is really going to be the choice for the most authentic looking,.....I know it'll be my choice now ;)

Personally, I like the look of the leather better but, to have those snaps show thru, methinks you gotta go vinyl.

Man, this is about the 10th time I've changed my mind on which I like better! :)

Looks great!!!!! Wish I had a means of putting mine on a diet to slim them up a little. I like the stamped stitching. You cant even tell. Looking forward to seeing your vinyl project pics.
