Needing Tamiya Paint List for RotJ Pack

Alcfalath

Hey all,

Im looking to create a fully comprehensive Tamiya Spray Can List for the Entire RotJ Boba Fett, and I am in need of the Jet Pack Colours used by you guys for the most accurate colour...

I used the following,

TS30 Silver Leaf (base/undercoat)
TS27 Matt White (main colour, thrusters)
TS44 Brilliant Blue (main colour)
TS33 Dull Red (main colour)
TS34 Camel Yellow (main colour)
TS6 Matt Black (Stripes/thrusters/Weathering)
and achieved this...

PIC_0562.gif

top with flash, bottom with natural light

I know that the blue probably isnt the best to use, as its a little too bright/vibrant.... however if anyone has done a really good job on their pack with a Tamiya, or just has one with the correct colours, voice out and post on here with your knowledge..

Thanks in advance

Matt

Hey Alcfalath,
Here's my Jet Pack painted withTamiya spay paints. It's been a while but I think the colours you listed are all the same except maybe for the blue and yellow. I'd have to do a bit of research to check those 2. The whole thing was then given a coat of dull coat, then a really light mist of semi gloss here and there. Halo1 might want to chime in here as he may still have the list I sent him.
Cheers

Cheers KA,

Nah, Tim doesnt have the list anymore... I thought that the thrusters may be a medium grey as well... Not too sure though.. And would you recommend using the 'Smoke' rattle can to do the grime weathering?

Why are you making a list of Tamiya rattle can colors when there is a perfectly good list of rattle cans colors? Availability?

Well not everyone in the world has access to those ones... Australia for example doesnt carry those items, and im not willing to spend a whole load of money on bringing them into the country via dangerous goods parcel shipping...

Maybe you can try MR HOBBY. They have a set of colours for Gundams, IMO most of the colours are quite close to the boba jet pack colours. But you may have to airbrush though :facepalm

Hi Matt,

I used a mixture of Tamiya and Pylox rattle can sprays for my JP. I'll check the workshop once the local Festive Holiday is over, in another 3 days. Hope you can hold on till then, in the meantime, off the top of my head...

Blue TS-15
Camel Yellow TS-34
Pylox Flat White
Pylox Bull Black for misting and stripes
Dull Red TS-33
Smoked Black TS-??
Dull Coat

and

Vashstampede's Decals.

BTW, Happy Chinese New Year Hunters! Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Stay safe,

Tim.

Thats why I questioned the availability. Go for it, I'm sure it will come in handy.

Cheers, i will be Delta75 :D... just waiting the completion of my order and the getting the last of the money together for it :D then ive got 1 week to paint, assemble and get ready before the deadline :D hehe :D fun times :D
