Hello, I have been posting around a few threads lately and have only barely started on my Fett Suit. This is my first Star Wars costume and of course I start out with a really intricate character, but it is worth it. My plan is to join the 501st as Boba Fett. I have alrady painted the paldrons and primed the chest armor. So, I was wondering if you experienced guys can take a look at my paldrons and maybe post some pictures of your own Boba Armor that made it into the 501st that way I can see the level of quality they expect, Which I assume is very high. I wish I could have gotten more completed and painted but with school at FSU, we can only paint so fast. Oh, I also have to give credit where due, without my girlfriend the armor wouldn't have ever looked as well painted as it does. Thanks in advance and Cheers!!
P.S. It is a ROTJ Boba fett...probably should have mentioned that.

I'm a GML of the 501st Legion, I approve costumes to the garrison which I reside. Your shoulder armour seems to look pretty good :) I wouldn't deny it.

Hey I've been pretty busy lately with school and all but here are some somewhat up to date pics. One point I must point out is the gash in the ab plate. I know it is not suppose to be a gash but my girlfriend wanted to do some of my armor and since she is painting, I couldn't say no. Anywho..I guess she got carried away with my dremel but I kind of like it. So do you think it could keep me out of the 501st? If so it could still be salvaged for my eventual mandalorian merc suit (near future planning in the present). Well, after the next week I would have more free time to post my most recent progress. Thanks all again and Cheers!!:cheers

I think it depends on how strict your garrison guys are. Personally, I don't see a problem with it. Your armor is coming along nicely. Make sure to weather it with some black mysting or something though:) Can't wait to see the rest.

Thanks. I still need to do the weathering, hopefully within the next two weeks or so I'll have some time to sit down and really knock the armor out. Also another point I was worried about; i was reading a post on boba guidlines and they also pointed out the three holes in the lower right corner dent. I never reallly noticed that untill they pointed it out then of course I did notice it. Do you all think those three holes really matter? Thanks again and Cheers!:cheers

i think your armor is looking pretty cool. kind of like a style-ized cg-ish boba, the kind that would fit right in on the set of the upcoming clone wars animated movie. and for your ab plate gash, paint a small piece of styrene (or whatever plastic you're using for your costume) the same silver color and glue it in from the back. but it's not too bad, i wouldn't sweat it too much.
