Need pics & dimensions of Jetpack

I'm trying to scratch-build a JP.
Problem is, I need something to go by besides MOM pics.
Does anyone have a tutorial (WITH PICS) that would help.
Is the center a pvc pipe? if so what size?
How do you use the "3 soda cans'?

Thanx

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. There are several threads on here with the measurements. Just do a search. If you need more pictures try the Visual dictionary, or just check out the show off your jet pack thread. I'm using a 4" pvc pipe for my center, and I'm using these plastic bubble bottles I found at Walmart for the side rockets. They're pretty clost to the right shape. I also found these 2.5 inch round plastic balls that come apart like those plastic easter eggs at Target. They were in the Easter candy section. I'm using those for the top on the thrusters. Since the come apart they're really easy to cut that shape on the front out. I'm using the air freshner tops for the bottom of the thrusters. I hope to get some pictures of this project up soon.

I am doing the same also, try this thread:
http://forums.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=5323

There is a lot of good art to work from, I am printing the details on a Transparent sheet and projecting them to full-size and working from that.

Home Depot/Lowes also has some good size tubing for the Rocket tanks and the center missle tube if you know where to look.

I have searched. Yet found nothing definative.

Mostly phrases like "I used these ball-thingies",or " I used this gopher poison container", or " I'm using these plastic bubble bottles I found at Walmart" ,
or "Home Depot/Lowes also has some good size tubing for the Rocket tanks and the center missle tube if you know where to look."

Well, I don't know where to look, & I have know idea what you are using (without some pics, or even brand names would be nice)

As far as the construction goes,
Where do I begin?
Is there an interior frame that is to be built upon?
How thick is the jet pack supposed to be?

Try this, Lisafett has Jet Pack patterns that print out to full size here:
http://www.azeem2000.com/.

As for the Jet Pack Gimbaling servo (the ball above the Rocket Thruster),at "Michaels Art supply"
you can find a pair of Clear Ornament Globes (They are labeled on the back
"60mm Everyday Ball Shape Crystal" #19011-BE-029 the bar Code # is 0 48492 70169 2,
they are made by Westrim Crafts), they snap together & you can glue those together, bondo them,
sand and patch until they are smooth and then add the Details afterwards.

Plastic bubble bottles-you remeber when you were a kid and you got the little bottle of bubbles (basically dish soap and water) with the wand in it. Well Walmart had these giant sized bottles for 88 cents. They're almost 3" across. They top has a very similar shape to the tops of the tanks on the jet pack. The bottle is too short though, so I just cut it in half. Tell me how and I'll post a picture.
When you're looking for parts just use your imagination. I put pictures in my pocket and wander around Lowes, Home Depot, or where ever and try to find things that will work. Depending on where you live you might find something that works better than something else. I don't think it really matters what you use as long as the end result looks like a jet pack. Be creative.
