Need female boba fett advice

I am completely new to creating costumes. My boyfriend had a boba fett costume made so I want to make a female (non-sexy) version of boba fett. I have no idea what to make the armor from or how to make it.

Can an anyone give me tips and advice on how to go about doing it or resources?

Not trying to talk you out of it, but Boba is a very difficult costume to pull off. If you're prepared to spend the time and money, it will be worth it though. It's a costume that take many well over a year, and some 3-4 to pull off. If you plan on making most of your own, and you can sew, there are templates in the Boba costume section I believe. If you're going to make your own armor, look at some of the sintra or trash can armor build threads. You will really have to decide what you can make, what you can afford, and pick a starting point. Hi and weplcome. Do you want to make a fett or would a custom female mandalorian do. That might make things easier. Also depends on your build. Have you tried your bfs helmet, armor for example?

As far as i can remember some female mandos have used plastic torso mannequins and cut out the armor from that.
In any case all the resources should be available here on TDH.

That's a good idea! My two cents... Pass the buck to your boy friend and give him the fluttery eye lids. Custom man do will be much easier to tackle. PVC/Foam Board/Sintra/Rubbermaid Trash Can for armor... PM A seller of cold cast helmets as a start. (ASOK has recently just become active on the site (She was in the hospital))

I am leaning towards a female mandalorian. It seems easier and will allow me to be creative with colors. Thanks for bringing that up.

Another good resource if you are going the custom route is the mandalorian Mercs site. It has a whole section dedicated to Female Mando customs.
