My Sons ROTJ Boba

Looks great! I love it!

Maybe the helmet is a bit over-weathered, but being Boba, it's cool. I like what you did with the armor. You know, you can put some black sticker strips or you can paint with black where the chest display is and you won't need to cut that piece out.

You've done an awesome job with your son's suit. Very well done!

Thanks mate that means a lot coming from someone with your talents and skills.

It has been a lot of fun and a very busy few weeks getting two costumes done for the tight deadline. I promised my boys I would have them done and I am happy that I have acheived that for them. As one of the guys in our garrison said when he saw the pics 'your kids are going to stand out from the no doubt dozen or so kids in their craptacular Harry Potter costumes.' Not that there is anything wrong with Harry Potter the little Fett went as him last year....but come on this is Boba Fett and a Republic Commando

Also thanks to everyone for your compliments and help along the way. I will try and get some fitting pics up and some pics of their first 'troop' at school on Thursday.

Well all done...final fitting done...more hot glue more elastic more velcro added...and one happy little Fett...and a relieved dad :)
No real big issues just had some of the armour plates popping but fixed that after the photos where taken. The jumpsuit - cargo pants and shirt, we died them and it was supposed to be grey and they cam out this grey blue colour...figure that out but I think the blue looks ok will try and fade it a bit and will look 100% better when I get the gaunts, back plate and jet pack. The knees are mine as are the ammo pouches on his belt. Might try and find some smaller grey gloves.
Let me introduce Declan Fett...

WOW! Declan Fett already has that special Boba pose and his suit looks awesome. The blue jumpsuit is more like the Pre-Pro #2 one, but as you said it's better to fade the color. The spats are a little bit big on your kid, but I think you already know that... That Republic Commando suit is also great and you've done an amazing job with both suits. I love it!

Thanks for all the nice words and compliments guys I really appreciate it.

FIRST UNOFFICAL TROOP - BOOK WEEK PARADE
Book week parade today and it was a great day. I wasn't goint to suit up but all the teachers where in costume and Mitch said go on dad...so didn't take much of a push to suit up :)
Had a ball the kids got swamped by their class mates when I went in to help them into their armour...I got lot of high fives from Mitchells class for an awesome RC. Then I raced off to suit up...well...mobbed and that was just the teachers...then all the kids thought I was a teacher so I played along and kept them guessing.
Each class did their parade...lots of Potters or other Potter costumes a few super heros.
Star wars was not left out. I did see however some poor misguided children who thought it would be cool to be a jedi...feel so sorry for them. There was a Vader a Rex and the Fett and RC. But I think more SW costumes next year after all the questions I was asked ;)
Lots of pics taken and in the end unfortunately the Fett and RC lucked out in the awards :( But they were the most popular with their classmates and thats all that counts for them.
Oh...wouldn't be a day out in armour if you didn't make someone cry...and I managed to make a poor little girl cry when she saw me...but I was forgiven when I gave her my chuppa chup

Looks good mate! Can you walk me through what you used to paint the boots, because everything has different names from the states and the UK! haha. Cheers.

Very nice work. I am working on a Boushh costume for my 9 year old daughter and a Chewbacca costume for me. We plan on going to CVI next year.

Wow that is so cool...Wish I could get to CVI would be a blast and from what I hear so many kids getting involved.
If you can let me know about the Boushh build I know a guy in the Garrison wants to make one for his daughter.

Love it! I just put together a Fett costume for my 7 year old and I'm hoping there are some other events he can wear it in before he outgrows it. I thought it would be cool to make myself a Wookie so he could pretend I'm his prisoner or something but I'm out of steam for a while.
