Hi everyone, here I come again with more advances, now the right gauntlet....

Hi again, I´ve been busy last weeks....

Here I put some pictures of the mold processes. I have to make molds of my pieces because the material I´ve been using is very soft and you can scratch it very easily with your nail, so think what could happen to these pieces in a mission..., that´s why I´ve to make molds of them and fiberglass casts.

Here you have the mold process...

I hope you like them....

I forgot to put the missile mold and it´s resin cast, a friend of mine have just machined a missile for himself and he let me mold and cast it in resin because, although it is very cool, when you put it on, the entire gauntlet with aluminium flamethrower takes a very heavy weight and it is no comfortable, that´s why I prefer the resin one to put it on, the aluminium one it´s ok to show the entire armor in the maniqui to show the final result, or in a very special moments jajajajajajaja...

Just to end (I swear ) I put some pics of the finished left gauntlet (except the three cables at the back of the flamethrower), and the up part of the right one... hope you like them.

And that´s all for today, sorry if I have bored you but I was much time without posting tha davances and now I wanted to put all of them together.

Greetings for all from Spain...

This is a beautiful (guess you can say that about Fett) costume! From the soft parts to the armor, absolutely worthy of being in a Fett shrine!
And that helmet.... Wow that paint job looks absolutely stellar. Gotta be proud of those gauntlets too. That is an excellent job on the molds and scratch built masters.

Hi all, I´m back with two pictures of the right gauntlet finished and the knee pads almost finished, I still have to machine the aluminium launchers on my home-mini-lathe, hope you like them...

Now I am starting with the jetpack....

Hi everyone, here I go again with buliding process of my jetpack, this time I´ve to use 3 milimeters plastic board and this is very much more difficult and hard to cut, now I have iron fingers with this hard training, like in the old kung-fu films jajajajajajaja....

The process I have followed is the same used in my other pieces...

I hope not to result boring with so many pics... :)

Hi again, I´ve boguht some PVC pipes with the correct diameters to continue with thi scratch build...

0irs.jpg

A friend of the Spanish Garrison told me that the jetpack missile he has is a little bit short, he thinks that it must be larger in order to pass a little bit above the helmet, what do you think with this result?

5s5y.jpg

Jajajajajajajajaja I was joking, it looked a funny image for show you...

Ok, let´s get serious, the PVC pipes have standard measures and if you need a different diameter you have to make it yourself, so I decided to put some 2 milimeter plastic board around one of them to get the desired diameter (I have to do this in two layers). To adapt the plastic board to pipe´s shape I used a hot blower. You have to take care not to burn the floor if you have wooden floor, in this case I have a ceramic floor so it doesn´t matter..

Now I follow with the rest...

id76.jpg

mmgp.jpg

q9al.jpg

es7z.jpg

Tbhe largest pipe is for smoke xtract use, it has 120 milimeters of diameter, it is easy to cut with hobby knife making three or four passes you can crash it a very clean way, then you have to cut the sides to fit your pieces...

ftah.jpg

Well the pipe in it´s place, don´t take care now about the separations between this big pipe and the side pieces because this space will be closed with other pieces, and epoxi plaster...

54m3.jpg

Now you can see what I was trying to xplain about the side pieces that close the separations...

s8nq.jpg

opau.jpg

Well, that´s it I hope you like it....

Some more advances....

Now I show you one the most difficult piece in my opinion....

snf3.jpg

uxn2.jpg

qu9r.jpg

5vy0.jpg

Now it´s time to make some angle cuts, this is very tricky...

9c3z.jpg

73f4.jpg

I have to see how it fits..

6stl.jpg

htil.jpg

Now it´s the turn of one of the top side cilinders...

nfio.jpg

igfg.jpg

Before glue anything, I like to put the pieces together to see the result...

05ys.jpg

I´m closer to finish it....:)

Let´s finish the side small cilinder...

Some sanding and the line made, all with some primer...

_MG_7807_zps6f24614b.gif

_MG_7809_zpse24afe1a.gif

Now it´s time to mold it because I don´t want to repeat this process three other times and take in count that the bottom cilinders have some differences in their tops... I´ll solve this in my home lathe...

_MG_7815_zps113eed4b.gif

I put some child plaster in order to avoid the silicone to filter inside..

_MG_7818_zpsacc1495c.gif

It´s time to wait 24 hours to let the silicone to cure...

_MG_7822_zpseffb21fe.gif

How it´ll look like?...

We´ll se the result other day I think that I have putted to many images for today, I hope not to be boring... see you all, thanks for watching and greetings from Spain...

Your build thread is amazing (I already said it a few times) and it keeps getting better and better with each post!

The jetpack 'rocket' is visible behind the helmet if the jetpack is positioned in an almost vertical position, which is possible only with a good jetpack frame with harness or any good substitute. But it also depends on the stance of the body, the viewpoint you look at the whole suit and other factors:

View attachment 74679

Note that the ROTJ jetpack is positioned much lower because the harness upper strap is much longer than the one on the Pre-Pro #1, but also the body position is different: the Pre-Pro #1 is leaning a bit forward while the ROTJ is in a straight position.

Many thanks to all of you, thank you for such good comments, RafalFett, I missed you jajajajajajaja, I remember your good comments 2 years ago when I started this project but I had to stop for almost 2 years because many reasons but now I´ve come with more strengh and forward to finish this eternal project and with many pics of my progress...

Here you have more pics, hope you like them... see you.

The casts ofthe cilinders and the missile started...

I see you...

Hi all, I continue...

I fixed the cilinders and made the holes for exhausts....

_MG_7870_zps4d58bb74.gif

I bought some pipe of 32 mm of diameter and I cut two smal pieces and then I put them caps in order to demake them a hole in each cap to hold de screew taht will hold the exhaust to the jetpack (I don´t have pics of the holes, I forgot to take photos)..
