Hah! Touché.

Gotta remember that it's just on a hanger. My gut totally pushes that ab plate up ;)

Actually, looking at it again, you might only need to bring your chest pieces closer. Ab looks fine.

Lmao, I can't see it in the photo but I'll take your word that your 6 pack bulges it out.

Nice pic!!! this is me in my TK at a Disney Event here in DC last week. I'm the one behind Vader. Was at the Capitol building with congressional members. I have a pretty funny story about what one of the congresswoman said to me.

Very cool! Currently working on a TK. Just nice to have that back up suit just in case. We've got a few Fetts here in our garrison so it'll be good to spread the love. Plus, Fett is wicked toasty. If I know it's gonna be a hot one, I might stick to the TK.

TKs are great and much fun when in a group of them. It may be cooler but it's more restrictive. I wanted boba to also be able to sit down and not walk like the tin man.

Nothing feels better than to remove that armor when a long troop is done.

If you need anything on that TK feel free to ask. I have built many of them and to centurion. My garage is known as the "TK workshop". I sell ANH binders on FISD. I never liked being an ANH TK with ROTJ/ESB binders. Binders are great for photos. The new Disney ones are great though (that's what the female in the pic has on, the Disney ones). I couldn't bring my brass ANH ones because security was already a nightmare.

I was thinking about getting a set of those disney ones. The foam padding looked good for keeping people comfy. Santa might take care of that :)

Cool man!

As for gauntlets, my forearms are small enough that I can just slip them in. They are secured permanently on one side and then Velcro is used to keep the shells shut. I think I have photos of them on, but not of the inside.

How did you line up the snaps on the flak, so you knew where to attach them?... I can see that gluing them to the back of the armor plate is simple enough but knowing where to put the ones on the flak and mark them seems tricky if you can see through the armor plate!

any help would be great

Thanks

The easiest way I found is to E600 some magnets on the armor at the same time as the snaps. Then use the magnets to hold it in place and adjust to the correct locations. Since its held in place and lined up just take the flak off and mark from the back where your snaps are on there then remove the armor and install your snaps. You can then remove the magnets.

So got to work on the gauntlets last night. Was able to get the lights for the flame and other in place. Used a 9volt for the flame and watch battery for the other.

The clam shells did not want to like up. I simply used my heat gun and got them to line up perfectly in a matter of minutes. Will be using a magnet set up I use for my TK to close them.

Here are the items I used for the batteries. The watch one is nice because it has an on/off switch. The other doesn't matter because I need to press the button to turn them on.

I will have plenty of room for Servo when I get to it.

Looks great. I am just starting to buy pieces for my ROTJ build. I currently have a TK and TD costumes, sitting would be great thing.

So my build took a break for our trip to Disney. I was able to walk around and give it a test run before I finish (minus the Jetpack for now). I walked miles, and found weak points or lack there of.

1. ToeSpikes, fell off and had to glue back on. Once I get home I will make a permanent fix for this problem.

2. Need to raise my front thigh pockets. Not a big deal because I need to take the flak to the seamstress anyways for other alterations.

3. FANS! I am using a friends helmet till mine is back from the painter. I sure could have used my fans in Florida.

This is a photo of me and my son shopping for a toy for him at the hotel on our way back from the Halloween party.

We leave for the cruise tomorrow which will have another Halloween party and actually a costume contest.

Will update more build updates once I am back and back in the shop when my soft parts come back from the seamstress.

There also may be a lag because my Ep7 Stormtrooper is scheduled to be delivered from Anovos on Wednesday so that will surely take most of my time up so I can have it ready for the premier.

So I got back and was able to drop off my flak to get the seamstress work done including the openings for the Jetpack. She will also be raising my thigh pockets while she is at it.

BTW here is a few pics of my son and I at the Star Wars area of the Disney cruise ship on Halloween.

So I am deep into my TFA Stormtrooper build but I did receive my parts back from the seamstress. She shortened the flak 1" to get rid of the large gap below the armor, she added button holes for the straps for the Jetpack, she also raised the front flightsuit pockets.

Here are some pics, now back to the other build!

So my TFA TK is about ready for the paint shop so I had a little time to address issues from my trim. One was the gauntlet magnets coming loose. I have found it doesn't work well gluing magnet to ABS. Here was my solution. I can switch magnets if I like with the Chicago screws. Also, they they are tight and will never come loose.

Looking good! Did you get the RKD V2 or V3 chest armor? I got V3 coming as i have a wider chest and the V2 will be too small for me.
