My ROTJ Blaster :- Using Sidewinders Recipie!

I just wanted to show off my blaster which i finished 2 weeks ago. It's Sidewinders kit but with a real scope which i won on ebay. Not a real ASL scope but pretty darn close though.

The weathering was done just as described in Sidewinders thread. And if i can do it.. then anyone can do it. It's super easy and the results speak for themselves.

now let me bask in your praise! ;)

(Although constructive critisim is always appreciated)

THAT LOOKS AWSOME!... i cant wait to start mine.. what kinda scope did you buy? i would like to attach a real one also. how do you find the D bracket? is it flimsy.. i was thinking of upgrading mine to steel?

The scope that i found is a "Sussex Armoury 4x20 scope" which i bought of E-bay. Other people have found similar mounts for other models and attached them to a modern 4x20 scope with good results.

The D-bracket is strudy. I susspect that there is some form of re-inforcement but you'd really have to ask Sidewinder about that. The Sidewinder kit is extremly light so i doubt you'll be having any problems with the D-bracket. unless you are really careless..

That is a cracking paint job right there.

The D bracket is reinforced with perforated steel sheet. This allows it to flex somewhat without breaking.
