My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
A couple of questions:
What is this made out of?
Is it solid?
Is the stock made of wood?
Is the scope functional?
What are the "T" shaped brackets lining the barrel made from?
Is the "D" bracket that attaches the stock to the grip made of metal or plastic?
Much appreciated.

8 months? man I would have gone crazy waiting for that thing but it looks like it was well worth it. I like the "rusting" detail. does it have some decent weight to it Mike?

Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
Yeah so this blaster is made of about 99% metal and the thing weighs a wopping 36 pounds. There is no wood that I can see, but there might be some on the inside. There is some plastic but surprisingly not much. Its quite heavy and almost impractical for long troops. The scope is solid metal and can not be used. Its bigger then my other resin prop, so when I get more time I'll put them side by side and take some more pics.

Hi,
I am thinking of getting one. But does the trigger and hammer work? Or is this one solid piece of metal?
I look forward to your review and feedback.
Thanks!
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
36 pounds??? YOWZA!!! I'll have to weigh my HS bronze webley buildup and see how it compares.
I'd LOVE to see this in person at a troop at some point *hint hint*. Getting a side by side comparison to mine would make me all sorts of happy :)

36 pounds?!?!
Are you sure on that?? :rolleyes
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
The trigger does'nt work or the hammer and sorry guys I don't know why I said that it weighed 36 pounds. I just weighed it and the scale said 10.5 pounds so it is still prtty heavy. Brian I'll bring it to the next troop I make it to. To sum it up its one big solid prop, prob 90% of it anyway.
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
Thanks for the feedback on the trigger and hammer. Made in metal looks very tempting....
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
I have one myself and I thought mine weighed 50 lbs
36 sounds right....
it would be impossible to troop with this thing
its clearly for display only

That works out to be about 17 kilograms.... heavier than a real German GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun) which is 12.5kg!8)
Did you weigh the blaster?
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
I weighed mine on a scale last night and it was 10.5 pounds. Still pretty heavy but its not 36 pounds
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
I have got one of these little babies for my self and the weight kills you.
If you are strong like David Prowse was in the 80īs than you can troop with it for 10 min., but if you are "normal human being" than its only for display.
It is absolute solid metal and I really like it.
The only thing that is not so accurate is the paint job.
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
Yeah, for the guys that have this, what do you think of your paint job?
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
Maybe it was 36 pounds all in with packaging ect?
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
So I just ordered one of these... Hope I don't regret it... 10lbs doesn't seem like much. If I remember right, a M16-A2 with a full magazine was close to 9lbs, and I carried that thing for hours upon hours back in basic. Plus, I think my paintball rigs weighed more than that with a full hopper and 68ci tank (maybe the same or close).
If I find it to be too heavy, I guess I'll just go to my car and get a different one... lol...
Re: My New Master Replica's Blaster!!!
A question to you who've bought the Fett blaster. My barrel is sort of loose from the gun frame. I would imagine some screw has shakened it loose during transit. Not being Stateside makes me reluctant to return it when there's probably just a hex somewhere that needs fastening. Has anyone run into something similar or have some insight to how the barrel's attached?

Errmmm... I got some egg on my face... This thing is heavy. Like Loanstar said, definitely a display piece only. :(
