My little score...

Thanks for the kind comments.

I've got to modify the inner barrel and the trigger some (I want to keep it workable). I may get cracking on it today. I really don't like fall, but I'm glad its here...now I don't have to waste a lot of my weekend on cutting grass!
I'm looking for a few more greeblies to add to it as well.

I'll keep posting pics as I make some progress.

Small update - I used FG putty to fill in the gap between the big barrel and the smaller barrel. I got the little nub in the back turned out on my drill press. Now I'm filling the imperfections in the FG. I want to add one more detail to the side of the big barrel, but I haven't figured it out yet. Here are a few pictures, one with the greeblies setting on it.

Enjoy!

I have to ask...where did you get that machined barrel!?

The barrel is actually 2 pieces of aluminum pipe slipped inside each other to give it the stepped down apperance. The tip of the barrel is a greeblie I picked up at a job I had a few years ago. It is a body bore seal from air bag inflator. The initiator that set the inflator off would actually go in the center and the inflator's outer housing would then be crimped down around the outside of it.

I think this particular one was from a side impact air bag inflator. I picked up of several different kinds and kept a few handfuls of them for just such an emergency.

The barrel runs the entire length of the gun. The little nub in the back I turned from a solid piece of aluminum on my drill press.

Ok, got a little more work done on this weekend. I sanded off the blue anodize from the tubing just to see what it looked like and also if I weather it, I won't uncover blue instead of metal.

Squared off the hilt too. A little more glazing putty in the air bubbles and I think it'll be done. All I will need to do is add the greeblies too it and paint.

That's totally beautimus! And it's going to have such great weight to it! Makes me sad to have my light plastic one...Good job, man!

No progress since last time. I've had a bunch of R/L stuff going on, but I do plan on getting finished this weekend. I'll post some new pics then.

The "Sniffer" applaudes anything from the Forced Trekker. I heard he constructed a Jet Pack out of stuff lying around the house. Dang! He is good. Real Good!

Sniff away my friend!

I just won this on ebay. I really only wanted the Nemrod holster, but after seeing T-Bones idea's here, I was wondering if this Nemrod gun could be converted to the ESB Fett sidearm?
I will post better pix when I get the gun and holster. For now, I am just glad I was able to find a real Nemrod holster.:)

Good job! I thought the knife really added to the whole setup. I was watching that one too, but passed up the holster when I saw this one ending today.

Now I should have a Nemrod Galeon headed to me in the mail.(y) I suppose it might fall into some silicone not long after I get it. Now I can make myself a Bespin blaster and a sidearm!
