My leather ESB Ammo Belt!

Hi guys,

I'm making this ammo belt using a kit I bought from 99centtaco. It contained undyed, precut pouches made of leather, undyed precut leather flaps, and a leather belt. The kit also contained snaps and eyelets too, but I haven't put them on yet.

99centtaco gave me full instructions on what other materials to purchase in order to dye and finish the leather the way he does. He also gave me instructions on assembly.

First pics here show the raw leather with Neatsfoot oil applied, then with two layers of brown dye:

The next pics show the pouch leather stapled around a wood block. I cut the wood block using my miter saw and measurements 99centaco gave me:

Here are the flaps with the stitching done. It doesn't compare to what you would get from 99centaco himself... but I'm on a budget:( I have to get what I can.

Again I followed his instructions and I think I came close enough for some one with no experience sewing. Later today I will add three snaps for the ESB belt. Next week I will stitch the belt and add two eyelets. Then this phase of the project will be finished... for now.

Thanks for looking!

Looking good brother! I just provided the leather, your doing an awesome job. Its not a 99centtaco belt, its a clonecolletor belt! :)

Cool!!!!!!!! I didn't know you made kits Taco???? I might have to go that route!!!! Always thought the Taco belts were awesome, but I'm a do-it-yourself kinda guy. This might be just the right thing for me!!!! :)

Thanks for the compliments guys! I really had fun working on this kit because you see the results in a few hours. When I get the flaps around all the boxes I will post more pics. :D
